A year after her rebirth on the 2.0 EP, Maedon returns to her Rant & Rave imprint with the intentions of her previous release now distilled and focused into bold new forms. 
Whereas before the artist was transitioning from her earlier work towards new directions, Matter & Form arrives as an extended concept piece featuring four variations on a bracing, developed sound, an equally impressive remix from Lady Starlight, and a contrasting mix of the opening track by MAEDON herself. 
Where 2.0 charted emergence, ‘Entelechy I-IV’ unites to actualize this potential into a single-minded purpose behind fundamental principles.

Immediately launching into territory her last release only hinted at, ‘Entelechy I’ is a showcase for her now-mature approach. 
Her rhythmic dexterity and groove focus remains, with drum programs subtly evolving phrase by phrase, but they now form the basis for layered, complex compositions in a decidedly contemporary vein.
‘Entelechy II’ shifts focus towards the arrangement while keeping its drums steadily driving, drawing attention to details in its densely designed sounds through deliberate, gradual processing.
Relaxing the tempo slightly, ‘Entelechy III’ fills in the extra space with more dark
atmospherics and finely detailed soundscapes, finding a heavy medium between dark ambience and hammering techno.
Another deeper effort, ‘Entelechy IV’ counterbalances insistent, finely-tooled percussive bleeps and equally persistent bass figures against another sweeping bass pulse, at times breaking down into carefully-controlled atonal aggression.

Lady Starlight’s remix is skeletal in comparison, deploying its parts sequentially over ticker hi hats and a massive kick while using small shifts to incrementally build tension.

‘Entelechy I (Bent Mix)’ is more accurately described as hellbent, stripping out the original’s harmonic elements to grind the heavy rhythmic workout against an unrelenting acid line.

Originally from a metalcore and hardcore background @vanta_techno has always enjoyed electronic and experimental music. Heavily influenced by this and the techno scene in Leipzig with its well known Institut für Zukunft his focus are impulsive rhythms, dissociative sounds and dark and eerie atmospheres. As a founding member of @kollektiv-pvc he is also co-organizing raves in clubs and woods around the Leipzig area. For a few years now he has been exploring the world of producing. Releasing on Labels like Crescent London, Further Sessions, Proselytizing or Charybdis he is establishing himself in the scene always seeking to refine his sound. Now we gladly welcome Vanta for another huge episode of ritual practices full of pure energy and drive. What a ride!

ABOUT US

TechnoTrippin' was established in the early 2014 in Barcelona to support the small techno scene that was emerging slowly but intensely.

In 2015 "Techno in the Forest", an underground festival on the outskirts of Barcelona, was born with the idea of creating strong links between artists, collectives, labels, dancers and everyone related to the underground scene in the city.
After 4 unforgettable editions, we decided we had accomplished our objective of uniting the scene and Techno in the Forest celebrated its last memorable gathering in 2018.

Since then, we have been operating only as a non-profit underground techno platform releasing podcasts & premieres from artists and labels around the globe.

In 2024, celebrating our 10th Anniversary, we launched our solidary techno label, focused on releasing music to help people who are in terryfing situations.

All the proceeds from all releases will go to different NGOs like Save The Children, UNRWA and Open Arms.*

We plan to put on another TechnoTrippin' in the Forest (V). We feel it's time again, after the pandemic, to support and unite the local techno scene by providing an unrivalled quality sound system, a place surrounded by nature, and an atmosphere that reflects the fact that we are not in it for the money. We put our heart and soul into it, simply because we can, and for us, techno is a way of life.
