'Emotional Proficiency' has been the most personal release of STNDRD so far.

Emotional information to guide thinking and behavior, and manage and/or adjust emotions to adapt to environments or goals to achieve.

Going from abstract percusions and textures like in 'Altruism' through fat basslines, metal and percusive synths and drones as you can easily find in 'Apogee' or 'Random Preferences', to a deeper synth or hypnotic bells like in high textured 'Presagio' or 'Transmissions'.
Completed with 2 remixes from T Kode & Uväll.
Italian Berlin based artist T Kode painting more abstract with unconventional grooves that drives you into and hypnotic journey on his 'Transmissions' remix. On the other hand, the Georgian Uväll comes with a groovy, percusive and powerful remix of 'Random Preferences'.

The title track “Andromeda Continuum” is immersed in an atmosphere of distant textures and transparent squelches laid over a chugging low end. “Geodesic Power Sector” emits bursts of static electricity over a powerful rolling baseline capturing the essence of deep psychedelia. “Equinox of Polaris” combines a ripping drone texture extended by swelling pads creating a symbiosis for a deeper level. “The Code of The Exiled” finishes the EP with raw heat exploring the spectrum between abstraction and depth led by a tearing yet dreamy expanse of crisp synths.

The third Various Artists release on Codec Recordings is a strict blend of groovy, hypnotic, and effective techno.
Rising producer Daniel Rifaterra opens the V/A with Lantrua, a chilled out, atmospheric piece with a strong kick drum. With releases on labels such as Revolution and Truncate, he is definitely an artist to be on the watch for.
Serbian based David Mijatovic brings a high tempo, hypnotic loop and a relentless percussion workout to accompany it.
Next is Ekkor, an Estonia based artist who’s seen releases on labels such as Aesir and Smashead records. He delivers a driving and minimal, yet groovy tune.
Slono, who recently debuted his first EP, starts the second half strong with abstract, hypnotic loops and deep basslines. Hippocampal Functions is a force to be reckoned with!
Argentinian producers Stier and Juan Castillo team up to deliver A01, a percussive based track with many layers and textures. A highly effective tool for the dance floors!
Thomas Hostler, better known by his main alias “Space (GR)” showcases a computerized, hypnotic groove with many different elements blending into one another.
Unfit ends the compilation with Denebola, a heavily rhythmic tune layered with polymeters and ambience to create a mesmerizing soundscape.

ABOUT US

TechnoTrippin' was established in the early 2014 in Barcelona to support the small techno scene that was emerging slowly but intensely.

In 2015 "Techno in the Forest", an underground festival on the outskirts of Barcelona, was born with the idea of creating strong links between artists, collectives, labels, dancers and everyone related to the underground scene in the city.
After 4 unforgettable editions, we decided we had accomplished our objective of uniting the scene and Techno in the Forest celebrated its last memorable gathering in 2018.

Since then, we have been operating only as a non-profit underground techno platform releasing podcasts & premieres from artists and labels around the globe.

In 2024, celebrating our 10th Anniversary, we launched our solidary techno label, focused on releasing music to help people who are in terryfing situations.

All the proceeds from all releases will go to different NGOs like Save The Children, UNRWA and Open Arms.*

We plan to put on another TechnoTrippin' in the Forest (V). We feel it's time again, after the pandemic, to support and unite the local techno scene by providing an unrivalled quality sound system, a place surrounded by nature, and an atmosphere that reflects the fact that we are not in it for the money. We put our heart and soul into it, simply because we can, and for us, techno is a way of life.
