The Belgian artist has amassed an irrefutable reputation in his home country and beyond since the release of his first 12-inch record in 2015. SInce then he released several EPs on labels such as Knowledge Imprint, Setaoc Mass’ SK-eleven, Freddy K’s KEY vinyl imprint, the infamous Token Records as well as his own Border One Records. For the 38th episode of our podcast series, we are delighted to welcome an artist who is for us one of the most important pioneers on the scene. Founder of the Female: Pressure platform and working to introduce the values of brotherhood into the clubber community since 1998, we are honored to present here an extraordinary Hypnotic Techno set from the very talented DJ and producer Electric Indigo.

Hosting her set now is particularly meaningful to us, as she was playing our last 'real event' before the covid restrictions began.
It's now been 15 months since our 'Eclectique x Art Bei Ton' event at :// About Blank (13.02.20) and we haven't been able to work fully since. A lot of nostalgia, but still a lot of hope for a better future - we look forward to seeing you on the dance floor very soon!

Electric Indigo works as a musician, composer and DJ. Her name stands for the intelligent interpretation of techno and electronic music.
She started her DJ career in 1989 in Vienna and worked at the legendary Hard Wax record store in Berlin from 1993 to 1996. 

In 1998, she created female:pressure, the international database for female, non-binary and transgender artists in the fields of electronic music and digital arts which got an Honorary Mention at Prix Ars Electronica 2009. 2012 she received the 'oustanding artist award' in the category Computer Music from the Austrian Ministry for Arts and Culture.

She makes music for concert spaces, clubs and occasionally for stage plays and short films. In her compositions and live performances, she emphasizes the spatial-temporal placement of subtly elaborated sounds and structures, often generated from speech recordings. Electric Indigo shuttles between Vienna and Berlin.

Today we welcome Charlie Sparks to the Global Vibe Radio family,  a London-based DJ/Producer whose sound is heavily influenced by old school techno, psytrance and the pummeling sound of European techno

Charlie Sparks is all about energy. Known for emitting an intense gripping aura by seemingly blending Acid, Industrial, Rave, and Psytrance-like grooves, as his releases on @exhaleofc, @999999999music's NineTimesNine imprint and @possessiontechno perfectly encapsulate.

By carefully utilising every aspect of each Charlie is able to create the relentless momentum found in both his productions and performances. His unique hazardous identity has quickly spread and gained acknowledgment from artists such as Amelie Lens, 99999999, and many other heavyweights in the game.
It all started during his architecture studies where he delved into the dark, hard-hitting style of techno and quickly came to realise the huge connection between both creative fields. Just like architecture, every aspect of his music is specifically designed to generate certain emotions and control the atmosphere to captivate the listener. As a result, Charlie has been able to design his energy-filled, rhythmic pounding trademark sound which electrifies dancefloors across the world.

The year is about to end, but not before presenting the B4 Podcast made exclusively by Luigi Madonna, who delivers a delicious session of sharp and absorbing techno music.

Hailing from Caserta near Napoli and now living in Amsterdam, Luigi is a heavyweight of the techno scene. He’s had consistent releases on Drumcode Records, as well as other well known labels like Plus 8, Second State, Redimension. You can usually catch him playing the biggest festivals across the globe such as Awakenings, Ultra Miami and Sonus - to name just a few, in addition to legendary clubs sus as Fabric, Watergate and Amnesia. His releases get regular air time and mentions from the scenes biggest hitters, with most DJ’s adding many of Luigi’s records to their collections.

This session is a dialogue that flows and persuades, sweeping the listener along. Throughout these meticulously constructed 60 minutes, Luigi Madonna integrates classic, dark and groovy techno beats with driven and industrial sounds.
