To mark the occasion, we are very excited to welcome two of techno leading lights in Pig&Dan to pick up the task of rinsing the special edition Amsterdam Dance Event episode in our central mix series, no.88 in our longest running music podcast. The ELEVATE bosses, who many will also know from their releases on the likes of Drumcode, Terminal M and Diynamic, will be throwing down not once but twice this year at ADE joining Adam Beyer’s Drumcode crew at Awakenings (Oct 19) and closing out the marathon with Gem x Loveland and the imperial Mediahaven. Mark Knight is keeping house music alive, and his most recent track "If It's Love" goes back to basics with classic house music elements; something he feels has been compromised due to the industry's fast-paced environment. "Writing songs that have a bit more depth [and] that are really focused on the fundamentals of songwriting: great hooks, great melodies and meaningful lyrics," explains Knight when talking about the inspiration for his new release. Going back to his soulful roots, Mark Knight's latest record that features stellar vocalists Laura Davie and The Melody Men gives the world an extra dose of feel-good vibes just what it needed as it grapples with COVID-19.

This week's Global Vibe Radio mix takes us deep into the techno scene of Italy, featuring Letters From Jerusalem label boss Raffaele Attanasio.

Thanks to his father, a musician, Raffaele began taking piano lessons from a very early age. Strongly influenced by rap, hip-hop and the g-funk culture, he began DJing at just 12 years old, five years later releasing his first production with a style characterised by the union of techno, electronic and classic-contemporary influences.

Not everybody can say they have performed B2B with Jeff Mills or Octave One, but Raffaele has and in so doing has written a piece of history. Over the course of his career, Attanasio received the support of a large range of appreciated artists in the scene, including Luke Slater, Ben Klock, Marcel Dettman, Chris Liebing, Ben Sims, Oscar Mulero and many others. He has gone on to forge his own imprint Letters From Jerusalem, cementing his place as one of underground techno's most respected names in his home country and abroad.
