Bárbara Lago, hailing from northern Spain, began her journey as a DJ after moving to A Coruña in 2015. Her career took off in 2016 when she became a resident DJ at El Pelícano, a position she held for four years, establishing herself as a notable name in the scene.

Initially drawn to melodic techno, Bárbara’s sound has evolved over the years, moving through acid and industrial influences to the harder, colder tones of hard techno. She has since graced the stages of major festivals like Monegros Festival, Ultra, Verknipt, Blackworks Festival, A Summer Story, Dreambeach, and Gate Festival, as well as iconic clubs such as Fabrik, Florida 135, Industrial Copera, Family Club, Afrobar, and Audiodrome.

Her debut EP, Emergency Control, was released on the Spanish label No Mercy, alongside contributions to various compilations, including her track Bass In The F Place on Reckless.

This mix was crafted with weekday listening in mind, offering a progression from psy-infused bases to Schranz—a genre that has become a key feature of her recent sets.

I made something very different to my usual tech house style this time. For those who don't know me personally, I went through a number of traumas outside of my control in 2024. All of that negative energy was poured into this track in order to be cast away for good. Darkness feels much better in melodic techno.
