Simon Mercy is a 26-year-old techno DJ hailing from Gdansk, Poland, known for his electrifying performances and hard-pounding acid industrial techno sound. With a passion for music production, he first dipped his toes into the industry in 2014, creating typebeats for rap and hip-hop. However, as he traveled and raved across most of Europe, his musical tastes evolved, leading him to fully transition into techno in 2019.

Recently returning to Amsterdam in early 2022, Simon decided to pursue his passion and in June 2022 began his journey as a DJ. 
He is dedicated to bringing his unique brand of hard-pounding acid industrial techno to audiences everywhere he goes. His biggest inspirations include techno top names such as Jeff Mills, I Hate Models, Kozlov, D.A.V.E The Drummer, Zeltak, Svetec, and Alignment. With his undeniable energy and dedication to his craft, Simon Mercy is a rising talent in the techno scene not to be missed.

Since 2018, umbraid is well-known  for his emotional and driving fast techno-trance music. Recently, he changed his artistic direction and is interested into hard dance with a special attention to vocals and unique sounds.

His DJ sets are a mix of genres that leads the audience to share an intense moment altogether on the dance floor while discovering new music at any time of the night or the day.

He released three EPs (Raise, Carcères, Blockchain), appeared on two vinyls (Deestricted, Blockchain) and countless various artists albums (Coup, Maison Close, Märked, Grounded…).

DJs such as Anetha (dour), I Hate Models (dour), Shlomo, SPFDJ, Mama Snake (HATE), Regal (boiler room), Randomer, François X, Viscerale (berghain) and many more artists support his released and unreleased music.

"The mix is quite intense, even for my taste. When I put it all together I wanted to maybe rerecord it so it's super clean and all, but one of my 2019 resolutions is to learn to let some things go, do best and try super hard of course but not to obsess over being perfect.
The mix is definitely straight right to it kinda vibe. It contains tracks in many of my fave electronic music styles (ebm, techno, electro, trance, rave etc) including many released and unreleased tracks by my talented friends, that I'm super grateful for. The mix was recorded using my wifey's SPFDJ home dj setup - 2 decks, 2 cdjs." - @vitiosus
