Forming a full cycle, Polanski returns to the Instinct Series with a dance floor-ready yet an introspective selection of works. Each of the three tracks were built for an extended period of time, between 2022/23 in his London studio. The final product weaves-in a mixture of raw modular sound-bites coupled with pulsating rhythms. The extensive use of field recordings form heavy atmospheres that are often accompanied by his own voice, sound objects and underlying drones. On occasions the fluctuating sounds have outbursts of sonic tantrums, activating a cerebral response. A state where rhythms are not obliged to strictly follow the tracks and transients are bent without any rules. This EP emerges as the latest drop from VūMantra Records, a collaboration between Vū and Nigh/T\mare, well known for their dark and abyssal deep productions. Within its confines, a sonic landscape unfolds, blending gritty industrial beats with ritualistic undertones. Across four tracks raw visceral energy pulsates, each piece imbued with its own distinct vibe. The first track “Portale” by Nigh/T\mare sets the mood with an orchestra of merciless percussion and faint melodies. It is followed by Vū’s “Cruda” which accelerates the tempo, playing frenetic Arabic percussions on odd rhythms surmounted by his eerie voice echoing in the distance. To complete the EP the 2 artists remix each other’s tracks adding darkness to already pitch-black canvases. From haunting melodies to bone-rattling basslines, a mind-altering journey through the depths of the underground tribal beats awaits.

Nigh/T\mare

A malevolent obscurity is followed by a sentimental melancholy drifting towards a deep journey into the introspection and the subconscious. It constantly emerges into the horrific and ritualistic soundscape of cryptic techno, of ancient tribal images, and of industrial dystopian visions, all melancholy is then shattered for having embraced evilness.
Giuseppe Sciretti, better known as Nigh/T\mare Alias, is an Italian DJ, producer, and live performer who is based in Puglia (South Italy). In 2017, he released a solo EP on the Bulgarian label DVNTT, and the following year, he made his vinyl debut with "Hypnagogia" on Thrènes records after also releasing music on labels like Several Minor Promises, Voidance, Depth Request, Borders Of Known, Blame Rec, VūMantra Records. In 2021, he released his first 2x12" album, "Katharsis," on the label that is now called Thrènes, and in 2022, he released "Ceremony" on Forbidden Teachings, which led to numerous collaborations with international musicians like Pact Infernal, Torn Relics, Alexey Volkow, LAIR, Prophàn, Killawatt, and many others.

Vū
Vince Gagliardi, better known by his stage name Vū, is a music producer of ethnic electronic music and experimental dark techno from Berlin. His style has been compared to artists like Muslimgauze, Tzusing and Demdike Stare. 
He is also the founder of the label “Vūmantra Records”, co-founder of the label “Modern Bön” and creator of the audiovisual project “The Nent” (Cyclic Law), well-known for its impactful A∖V live performances. Vū´s performances focus on an immersive experience creating endarkening rhythms for dystopic sub-cultures. His voice fuses with drum machines and is accompanied by live percussion, which pulls the audience into the present moment and creates a shamanic vibe.
Some of Vū’s tracks have been released on Pact Infernal’s label "Altar", Borders of Known (GE), Dark Alchemy (UK), Voidance (DE), Elektro Tribe (DE), Furanum Records (DE), Area Z (FR) and more.
In the past few years, Vū has performed live at clubs and festivals such as OHM Berlin, KitKatClub, About Blank, Mensch Meier ( with the Queer techno label SUBVERTED ), and Lunchmeat Festival 2020 ( see link below) , where he was the opening act for SOPHIE’s last ever performance.

Fundamental order of all the things, such as matter. A particle —-
essentially everything that existed, exists and will exist. Also the void, home of nothing.

Because to be, to evolve or to exist in unpolluted way; equipped with a DNA-narrative, from a pre-mutated space dust particle, the seed of all existence, the mega-source —- The Universe. Form and matter architect, total collector of energies, the reason for life and decay.

'Harmony in Chaos' in infinitum and always in tandem. The two mega-forces working on par. Without any hate but not in love. Their parasitic symbiosis is neither an ebb nor a flow. The existence of dust particles in space and time —- mutating, evolving.

It is of an utter importance to once again tune in and observe the nature which radiates from within us. From the very fabric of our close surroundings, and from afar, far beyond the abyss ~

Born in deep rural Poland, Polanski's music draws inspiration from the organic sounds of nature conveyed in the form of musical language of our digital era. His style is known to be eclectic and indeed his DJ approach is sensitive to particular venues and club nights. The name derives from the Old East Slavic word поле, which means "field" or "plain". The Polans were a Slavic tribe who gave a foundation to forming Poland around 8th century.

Unique as a performer, he always takes his audience on a personal journey - a sonical walk in the forest so to speak. It is the emotional drive more than the musical genres themselves that seals the journey together. 
Constantly shifting his sound, Polanski has evolved over the last 20 years as a DJ. His ever-developing style and production techniques have given a new dimension to his sound. 

2013 saw the birth of 🇧​🇱​🇦​🇳​🇨​ - a forward-thinking electronic dance night, it redefines the format of clubbing by stripping down elements of a show, concentrating on situating the DJ on the dance floor. The music and the audience take control of the room.

Currently hosted at Electrowerkz, the night has created a perfect platform to showcase up-and-coming local and international talent, as well as Polanski himself, often road-testing his own music and experimenting with new DJing techniques.
