London-based DJ, producer and classically trained musician Vindya is delving into her roots. Deeply drawn to music from a young age, she has continued to study the subject academically, and will soon begin her doctorate, researching ancient ritualistic and religious music from her heritage country: Sri Lanka. Given this background, it is not a surprise that Vindya identifies with a vastly repetitive, percussion-heavy, and hypnotic techno sound. 

She has flourished over the past two years, carving out a space for herself in the energetic, four-to-the-floor, and groove-oriented soundworld.

Her recent set for London’s FLUXO paid homage to her alternative, Dutch-born roots, largely selecting tracks by Amsterdam’s finest producers to forge a relentless and uplifting groove. 

With countless musical endeavours in the pipeline, such as intertwining these early roots, you can expect to hear much more from this eclectic artist.

DXB is the B2B alias of dxrvo and Brandyy. The two founder of Synergie started making music together and are close friends for a long time. Therefore they wanted to establish a special B2B to combine for a unique mix of their styles. Together they mix hypnotic , minimal techno with new school hard groove to create a hypnotic but also an atmosphere full of good vibes. 

The mix was recorded during the performance at Helios37 in Cologne.

3-hour peak time sets are very rare, and I´m grateful that the club gave me the freedom here. It was recorded in one night, from Thursday to Friday, and it sounds that way too. A bit deeper than the "usual" peak time sets because the crowd really connected with the vibe. A night without high expectations, but it turned out to be very special.

The developing society, the different ways of partying and the evolution of electronic instruments contributed greatly to this change.
The concept of a sound and how it is organized had steadily evolved and what we hear now is just the result of a long process.
In this mix, I selected all of my favorite records from 1989 to 1991, when the house and techno were at their very beginning and still were influenced by other music genres like hip-hop and rock.
