Making its annual pilgrimage to the Dutch music capital, Mango Alley provides a virtual tour of sonic highlights that represent the global gathering of Amsterdam Dance Event. Another year of isolation and restricted contact culminates a sonic congregation that showcases emerging and established talents in a melting pot of creativity. Pulsating beats criss-cross the Amsterdam waterways where musical works of art provide a new beginning for autumn's artistic centre.

Roaring to life as knight and day collide in an explosion of sound and colour, a new nirvana emerges. The stars shimmer over the Melkweg and rippling arpeggios take Shelter on the north side before analogue synth motifs find a sweet spot in the Sugarfactory. Imperceptible melodies fade away on the still night air, anchored to their rhythmic foundations that are infused with history and aural narrative.

Coming up next from Cydana Sounds is another team-up for label owner Cendryma! This time, he joins forces with Mexican DJ and producer MUUK, for a dark and moody triple threat that is sure to catch the ear of many fans of the dark and the underground. Opener Outside the Program is a tougher edged affair, driven by atmospheric vocal stabs, deep basslines and a whole lotta mood! The track builds the excitement through a driving groove that fades away until theres only a deep bassline left, creative a transition into the main drop of the tune that is filled with layers upon layers of atmosphere! Up next, we have a tune even darker than the opener, Artificial Mind. Subtle high frequencies cymbals and top loops make the energy unstoppable. An extended breakdown that filters down into the subterranean, filtered bassline releases the tension with a clean drum fill that re-introduces the track at its peak where once again, filtered and reverb-drenched vocal stabs are revealed. The tracks ends just as it began, filtering out the groove and leave just the drums. A perfect tune for those dark, moody nights! Finally, to close the EP is a thunderous affair, G-Force. Having awoken the beast of Cendrymas darkness, MUUKs final collaboration on the EP with the American is truly the perfect closer. Atmospheric, energetic, dark and even a little uplifting. Lifted from his acclaimed debut LP ‘Breathing’, Ben and Malou’s ‘Lost In Mind’ receives a pair of new reworks. First up, leading with a percussive-heavy groove, Volen Sentir’s ‘Vision’ emphasises the heartfelt vocals, with hypnotic melodies and soothing pads, whilst their ‘Interpretation’ features a syncopated bass rhythm accompanied with an atmospheric string solo.
