But for these two, it meant locking themselves away in a dark room filled with speakers and cooking up some weapons.

Inspired by global unrest, Return Of The Jaded & Branzei have come together for a two track EP worthy of your mother’s most sacred ration. They come out of the gates swinging left and right, brandishing their weapon of choice: Generation. This one enters the battle with some of the toughest acid-lines and breakbeats this side of the border. Vocal loops and a chunky bass-line weld this record together, face-melting everything in its path. On your journey back to camp after a busy day of zombie tipping, you whip on the B-side just to feel human again. Following their 2018 collaboration Jano, producers Joe Red & Paul Darey reunite for their slamming debut Retrospective EP on Solardo’s Sola label who have been championing the rising talent.

A two-track weapon, Retrospective EP kicks off with haunting synth lines that proceed into a weighty breakdown spanning the realms of tech house, acid house and techno. Meanwhile, Can You Play To My Beat leans into more uplifting territories boasting grumbling vocals that weave amongst vivacious throttles and soaring lasers. 

Hailing from Mallorca, Joe Red has garnered support world wide whilst shaking the dance floors of renowned venues including Sankeys Ibiza, BCM and many others. His intricate originals have also seen him release on the likes of Toolroom, Defected and others as well as receiving continued DJ backing from heavyweights, Marco Carola, Carl Cox, Richie Hawtin, Green Velvet among others.  With an array of releases that have landed in the Beatport Top 10, the Retrospective EP is sure to a hold similar fate. 

Elsewhere, Paul Darey has cemented himself on the scene since his breakthrough with Roger Sánchez at the Release Yourself pre-party at Café Mambo. Since his rise, Paul has graced labels including Cr2, Defected, Deeperfect and many more with this Sola release marking his first impressive release of 2019.

Hako - Night Owl [Purple Tea Records]

Spaniard artist Avlaro Smart, after his recent releases on Defected, Relief and Flashmob Records makes his first appearance on Techords, teaming up with Argentinian DJ and producer Pinco of Cr2 Records and Roush Label.

Kicking things off is title track 'Baby In The Disco'. The rolling bassline and energetic drums, work nicely with the smooth female vocals creating a warm atmosphere but then, big synths are being added on the drop to rock the dancefloor, creating this way a peak time weapon. Coming up next is b-side track 'Ready', another dynamic tech house cut by Alvaro and Pinco perfect to warm things up.
