The Modal Electronics community has put their best foot forward and sent a plethora of stellar sounds as part of our inaugural SOUNDCLASH competition. The brief? Simply create a killer patch on any MODAL Electronics’ synth, submit your patch and a sound clip of your sound in action, and that’s it! We have carefully reviewed all submissions and we are pleased to announce the following winners:

Demo was made with Viper 1.1.0. Vst only and there were no external effects used (what you hear is what you get).
(MW) shortcut stands for Moodwheel assigned sound and (AT) for aftertouch.
Also this is the closest Vst synth in sound to the acclaimed hardware one Access Virus and as of Viper 1.1.0. update you can import Access Virus soundsets into Viper.
Read carefully: It is only tested on original copy of Viper with update 1.1.0!

Second 128 preset Trance Soundset for Adam Szabo Viper 1.2.0. and 1.2.1.(updated recently) Software Synthesizer is ranging from Classic, Progressive and Hard Trance sounds.
This soundset was inspired by the artists such as Rank 1, Armin Van Buuren, Ferry Corsten, Giuseppe Ottaviani, Sean Tyas, Angry Man, Smith & Pledger, Extreme Trax, Jonas Steur, Midway, Cressida, E-Craig, Flutlicht, Dj Shog, Binary Finary, Chicane, Scooter, Planet Fuse, ATB to name a bunch.
Bank consists of 128 sounds ranging from: Acid, Arpeggios, Sequences, Basslines, Leads, Pads and Plucks.
I have added a couple of Midi files for educational purposes only.

All of the tracks have an old school trance vibe; from Dark Matter, a track that wouldn't sound out of place on Gatecrashers seminal ‘Black’ compilation from 1998, through to the Sven Maes styled Timewarp of Julian Del Agranda and Luke Terry’s early 2000’s inspired Deep Space with Aeon Shift bringing us a more mid 2000’s style with When Worlds Collide.
