In STS004, Plisskin drags organic texture and dislocated vocals through the mud. What's left is stapled to stark percussion and doused in cavernous low end. The resultant sound is unique to the Naarm based producer and can only be described as purely murky.

SICARIA steps up with her deep bassweight energy for the third single from the forthcoming Tectonic Sound compilation. Her track for the comp, ‘Rhassoul’ lands as a proper dubstep cut—one foot firmly rooted in the UK’s original sonic lineage, the other venturing into bold new terrain. It feels as fresh as it does faithful to the genre.
