Tsuruda is an icon in the ever-evolving bass and beats scenes. Prolific and fearless, this classically trained, LA-based producer and DJ mashes experimental hip hop with avant garde electronics on releases for Daddy Kev’s Alpha Pup, Noisia’s Division and Mat Zo’s Mad Zoo imprints, while collaborating and touring with the likes of Mr Carmack and Amon Tobin. But more than any cosign, it’s Tsuruda’s bleeding edge sound design and neck-breaking funkiness that has inspired a legion of underground fans; it’s also earned him bragging rights as winner of the 2021 Goldie Awards, the beat competition (judged by A-Trak, Craze and Baauer) where these four Fool’s Gold tracks were born. Champion sound!

Today I got a new single out called "Rising Sun"! Super honored to have my friends The Field Tapes (guitar) and Kennebec (cello & flute) on this special song, which is one of my personal favourites of 21'.

I have been experimenting with my sound lately, and this is one of the first songs to come out of that interesting period of discovery. With these same friends, I've got an acoustic EP lined up that I'll talk more about in the soon. For now, enjoy the track!
