More of a cosmological composer than a singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist Jayma Superlove is an intergalactic space commander posing as a space cadet.  Performer, Educator, Producer, Musician, Inventor and Activist, Jayma is a music traditionalist ripened into abstract and original artist.  She translates a subterranean fervor and serves as a ubiquitous conduit communicating unreconciled emotional treatise strait from the ecstatic and shattered soul of consciousness. To say she taps into the pneuma and dives deep into dialogue with our secret selves is to say she attempts to scratch the inutile itch of inconsolability that exists in any audience.

Her performances or Superlove Sessions are a braid of electric-acoustic exhibitions- focusing on aggressive beats, experimental harmonics or resonance, melodic sonority, transcendental meanderings in a metaphorical song-story narrative.  She  idiomatically categorizes her most prominent exposes with experimental electronic and branded her new style as a sub-genre that’s coined Rxsounik.  Heavily influenced by the psychedelic rock and break-beat era encompassing such futuristic artists as Pink Floyd, The Beastie Boys and Frank Zappa- most of Superlove’s tracks have cryptic volatility, with grooving syncopated beats, complex polyphony and a slam-poetry type punch.  She peppers the sonic guacamole with live instrumental improvisation on saxophone, clarinet and various indigenous flutes.  Jayma experiments fluently with junky trip-hop sublingual’s expanding into indefinable realms of sugary sweet reflections paradoxically twined with disturbingly dark and satirical contemplations. Some describe her music as intelligent hippy-love-rock, retrospect of the musical “HAIR” with an underbelly resembling some kind of covertly hostile Alfred Hitcockian trist. Percolating retrospective iambic’s of obscurity with juxtaposed comedic hijinks, she offers her electro-acoustic pontification and it's always well versed with complex emotional hooks.    Add some daring acapella-scat-sing-phrasing, cross-breeding folklore mixes and melismatic blends, samples, ambiguous noise with standard form-sensibility plus some classic funk and you get an idea of what she is shooting for.

She fronts the Independent Record Label the ‘Rxsounik.gronk.Substratum’- serving as a platform and congregation for like-minded collaborators.  The label also provisions a playground for the new wave of thrill seeking adventurist, expanding consciousness comrades and epilog for the sustainable living movement. 
Jayma experiments fluently with ethereal undertones while shaking the most inauspicious stars- and she does this like a hypnotic ace. Catch her solo or peppered with fellow oddball synthe inventors, funk + afrobeat + gypsy underground ensembles or experimental electronic crossover nerds and avant garde jazz freaks.

With a career in music spanning 20+ years, my work has been featured on national television, on international stages in 15+ countries and at numerous major music festivals throughout the US. In this time I’ve been fortunate to have performed at TEDxAthens in Athens, Greece, the Mawazine Festival in Rabat, Morocco, Afro-Pfingsten in Winterthur, Switzerland and shared the stage with many inspiring acts such as Thievery Corporation, Michael Franti, The Roots, Femi Kuti, Madame Ghandi, George Clinton, Slick Rick & Soulive.

As a singer-songwriter I strive to present a delivery that is honest and thought provoking and I like to think that my catalog feels intuitive and provides a sense of comfort. I sit somewhere in the middle of classic folk, hip hop and soul with compositions mainly on acoustic guitar and ukulele. My attention and focus is mostly dedicated to lyric and melody and how they play off each other in a way that fosters feelings of memory, connection and ease.

Sometime in my early twenties, I was steered toward the ever creative and groundbreaking world of hip hop by what would become a very dear friend and music partner. The level of consciousness displayed by the artists I was introduced to seemed so succinctly in line with the effect I intended to have with my own outward expression - music and lyrical content with a deep seeded message - one of hope, connection, responsibility and compassion.  This message remains and can be experienced viscerally through the hooks and verses of my hip hop compositions.

The B(R)and/Production/Promotion/Indie Label led by Producer/Songwriter Slo,  Aaron "Dubulator"Friedman (Associate Producer, Engineer, Musician, Songwriter,) Kona and Johnny Tone (Musicians/Songwriters) operates out of Fort Union Studios in Honolulu, HI. Chinatown.
Together they generate soundscapes that fuses down-tempo, hip-hop, spoken word, jazz, funk, latin, dub, reggae and some neo-soul flavors on a collection of Volumes

Kouta (pron. KŌ-TA) is the main pseudonym of Luca Young, an electronic musician and bassist currently based in Los Angeles, California. With strong musical influence from his dual-island upbringing, the Japan and Hawaii-reared artist draws from a marriage between found sound, ambient electronics and rhythm. Kouta makes a return with his latest album, I Was Yesterday, a bold departure from past efforts. I Was Yesterday dives deeper and darker sonically compared to his debut release. A sense of calm inherent in Young’s sound as Kouta remains throughout.
