Original version of "Mourning in America," from our "Rapid Response" EP, which we saw as one way to use what little power we have to raise some small bit of awareness about the injustice perpetrated on dissenters and journalists at the '08 Republican Convention, and raise some small funds for some of the affected parties.  If you only buy one of our records, please make it this one, as every single cent it earns goes to support the Democracy Now! radio program and the ongoing legal fees for (currently) the RNC 8.

Here's yesterday's (3/16/10) live session/interview w/Mary Lucia at Minnapolis/St. Paul's 89.3 KCMP "The Current."  I think it went pretty well, especially considering how ragged I felt by the end of the previous night's show at 1st Avenue.  Also, I always appreciate Maria Lucia's curve ball questions, even that early in the day. "Blinders" was originally going to be on Majesty Shredding. The demo (which was slow like this version) sounded like Guided By Voices, that seemed like a good sign. But then the spur-of-the-moment fast take on the song we recorded for the b-side to "Crossed Wires" ended up so much better, the "real" version of the song fell by the wayside & has been without a home... until now...
