Heavy, San Francisco punk 'n' roll band HOT LUNCH has signed with NYC's Tee Pee Records. The group will release its self-titled debut LP Hot Lunch on March 12. Recorded at Louder Studios in Grass Valley, California with producer Tim Green (Jawbreaker, Christian Mistress, Earthless), the album features ten tracks of HOT LUNCH's rallying rock which has been described as "gritty blues-rock (that) keeps the tempo driving hard and heavy with generous helpings of amplified tin sludge and plenty of wailing six-string digressions" that "could have easily been plucked out of the burgeoning hard rock scene of the late '60s and early '70s, competing for decibels with the likes of Blue Cheer and the MC5" by the San Francisco Chronicle.

     Following the sudden implosion of San Francisco's heaviest (and quite possibly hairiest) rock band PARCHMAN FARM, singer Eric Shea built the heavy punk 'n' roll quartet HOT LUNCH. With vintage tube amps the size of refrigerators and a behemoth drum-kit, the group entered California's Louder Studios to record their debut album. The resulting, self-titled Hot Lunch is a ten song romp overflowing with heavy, hard-driving guitars, born-to-be-a-breakbeat grooves, throbbing, melodious bass lines and the BAD ASS vocals of Shea (the dude can really fucking sing!). This is scuzzed-up, red hot garage rock and roll that pushes HOT LUNCH to the forefront of the awesome west coast scene of bands currently redefining skate-rock. Fuck the cold leftovers, it's time for some scorching HOT LUNCH!

Kekecewaan dan amarah ada kalanya perlu diungkapkan melalui medium-medium pilihan untuk penyaluran rasa dalam jiwa. Ada yang disampaikan melalui kosakata, adapula yang dihadirkan dalam bentuk harmoni. Ada juga keduanya. Band bentukan Januari 2014 ini, lebih memilih untuk menyampaikan kekecewaan dan amarah dengan cara keduanya. Seperti yang terdapat dalam single debut EP BLACKTEETH yang bejudul “Jari Tengah Di Udara”. Dimana lagu ini menceritakan atau mengungkapkan kekecewaan terhadap hal-hal yang sederhana yang terjadi di depan mata atau peristiwa-peristiwa yang banyak orang alami. “Lagu ini menggambarkan amarah seseorang yang gue ungkapkan dalam pilihan kosakata yang berbeda dari lirik-lirik lagu BLACKTEETH sebelumnya. Gue menyampaikannya tanpa harus mengemukakan secara langsung dari orang-orang di dalamnya. Menurut gue ini adalah elemen yang gue ingin tunjukan dengan BLACKTEETH yang sekarang.” Jelas Satriyo vokalis dan gitaris BLACKTEETH. Secara komposisi, lagu ini dikemas dalam komposisi yang lebih tertata. Dimana setiap instrumen dari masing-masing personilnya dihadirkan sejajar. Dalam artian tidak ada yang terlalu menonjol. Dibuka dengan permainan drum Morris yang dinamis kemudian disambut dengan raungan gitar dan dentuman bas dari Arya dan Jerry dapat membuat orang yang mendengarkan jadi bersemangat. “Sebenernya secara aransemen lagu ini lebih kompleks dari lagu-lagu BLACKTEETH sebelumnya. Karena pengerjaan lagu ini dihasilkan melalui proses jamming, pastinya ada suntikan baru yang diberikan oleh Arya dan Morris sehingga membuat lagu ini jadi lebih eksploratif tapi tetap menggambarkan benang merah BLACKTEETH.” Ujar Jerry bassis BLACKTEETH. Dalam usianya yang keempat. BLACKTEETH mendapatkan energi baru dengan kehadiran Arya Novanda (gitar) dan Morris Orah (drum) dalam formasi terkini. Bukan menggantikan, namun lebih membangun semangat BLACKTEETH yang baru. Tentunya dengan formasi terkini, misi BLACKTEETH tersampaikan. “Gue berharap dengan adanya gue dan Arya membuat BLACKTEETH menjadi lebih solid dan pesan yang disampaikan oleh band ini dapat diterima secara positif bagi penikmat musik.” Tutup Morris personil baru BLACKTEETH.
