Mingis, Wrocławianin z krwi i kości. Muzykę traktuje bardzo poważnie. Kiedy po raz pierwszy zetknął się z gramofonami we Wrocławskim DJ-Sklepie od razu zachłysnął się zupełnie nową pasją. Obecnie prowadzi warsztaty dj'skie ucząc nowych adeptów innego poglądu na muzykę oraz podstaw miksowania. Pierwsze kroki stawiał w nieistniejącym już, słynnym klubie "Dziwne Dni". Był gościem Drogi Do Mekki, Raciborskiego Ozonu, Rybnickiej Pozytywki oraz innych, kultowych już klubów w Polsce. Jest rezydentem wrocławskiego klubu Bezsenność, ale często również można go usłyszeć w Klubokawiarni Papa Bar, il Gusto, Domówce czy Pozomie1. Swoje sety prezentował również na antenie stacji radiowych i poza granicami naszego kraju. Jego ulubiony styl to mieszanka disco/funk lat 70-tych z dużą ilością mushup'ów. Od kilku lat spełnia się również jako producent, rozbudowując swoje studio o nowe "narzędzia" z przełomu lat 80. i 90. Większość remixów i mushup'ów jakie gra wychodzi spod jego ręki lub tworzona jest po prostu na żywo.

Jay Carpenter is one of Dublin’s best-known DJs and producers. He currently holds residencies at The Chalk Venue, Bingo Loco, and Eveleigh and has also had residencies at Cafe En Senie and Wright's Cafe Bar. He’s spun at Dicey Reilly's, Rouge Nightclub, Play, Penthouse, and Baroque, and has performed at Ultra Europe each of the last three years. He’s built an outstanding reputation as a house-rocking entertainer who can light up any club or event in the world. 

Carpenter also produces his own original tracks. He learned music production at Nightmaker Studios in Swords and has developed into an original artist who spends his time creating new tracks, bootlegs, and mashups that push his crowds over the edge. He also hosts a new weekly podcast called From The Bedroom To The Booth. He’s been pursuing his dream of becoming a professional DJ since he was 17 and has gone from spinning at local functions to working in some of the best clubs and festivals to be found. DJ Jay Carpenter is among Ireland’s brightest emerging electronic artists and will turn up the heat at any nightclub, music festival, or event looking for an experience to remember forever.

With his past releases encompassing some of Australia’s finest moments in dance music history, Sgt Slick remains one of the nation’s most prominent and enduring industry figures, continually pushing forward as a world class DJ, Producer and Remixer.
