Kaydin Umali is an acoustic indie folk-pop singer-songwriter who uses her music to not only express her musings, but to also pursue something bigger than herself.

Growing up, she was highly influenced by her grandfather who was a musician himself. She developed her fondness for music by joining a community choir and listening to the likes of Nyoy Volante, Barbie Almalbis, and John Mayer.

In 2017, Kaydin wrote and arranged her first full-length song, "Buntong Hininga," which had a guaranteed slot at the FILSCAP Songwriters’ Night. Her song “Agila,” which is a subtle piece on empowerment, was one of the songs she dedicated to people she loves during the Women’s Day gig organized by Talahib People’s Music with Musika Publiko.

An advocate of Kaizen or continuous improvement, Kaydin further masters her craft by studying sound mixing and composing. She also shares her passion for music with groups such as PulsoJuan, and Musika Publiko. At present, you can catch her busking along the corners of BGC High Street together with ethnic-jazz singer Ja Quintana and members of PulsoJuan.
