Inspired by the biblical story of Gideon, TEEJ wrote from the perspective of a fighter making it through against all odds. There is often a moment after a traumatic time where a person experiences an epiphany. In my case, I was unexpectedly kicked to the curb and my engagement was broken off which initially made my future feel desolate.
