Consisting of Icelanders Agnes, Halldór, Stefán and Kristján, Sykur (translation: Sugar) began in 2009 and quickly established a reputation for packing out parties with girls and boys looking for good times. So much so that Dazed and Confused described Sykur as "plucked from the top drawer, a morsel of such rare succulence that it is sure to gain attention even beyond the cordoning velvet rope that sequesters the art world's N.I.P (Nearly Important People)". The band released their first album, Frábært eða Frábært in October 2009 to much critical acclaim and commercial success. The single Viltu Dick? From this album becoming one of the biggest radio hits in Iceland in 2009.

The band already play a pivotal role in the Reykjavik scene and have collaborated with the hottest local talent, as well as sharing stages with international acts such as Mt. Eden, Peaches, Familjen, Casiokids, Juvelen, Kleerup and Junior Boys. Their landmark performance at Iceland Airwaves 2012 at the new Harpa Concert Hall saw them ‘stealing the show’ according to the Reykjavik Grapevine paper. In 2012 they also played at the By:larm festival in Oslo and The Great Escape. 

The Mesopotamia EP, getting its debut international release through Wall of Sound in March 2013, sees the band develop their much-loved electro sound. From the exquisite downtempo Battlestar, to the full-on party anthems of Messy Hair and Curling, The Mesopotamia EP is the soundtrack of lost weekends and fun times.

• Roger Dee’s history is intertwined with the origin of the Hip Hop and the Electronic Music scenes in his hometown of Belo Horizonte, he is also credited for being one of the forerunners of these cultures in Brazil. His career began in the 80’s as a graffiti artist and B.Boy, subsequently becoming one of the main DJs of his city and later, Brazil. 
His trajectory is marked by multicultural connections, which dialogue between the worlds of black american music, brazilian music, electronic music and Turntablism, this mixture prints a peculiar accent to his body of work and partnerships with artists from various segments.
Roger Dee has participated in major festivals in Brazil like the Rock in Rio, Eletronika, Pop Rock Brazil, International Festival of Negro Arts (FAN) and the Red Bull 3Style DJs contest. 
In the United States he toured with Hennessy Cognac, launching the personalized bottle created by graffiti artists and artists "Os Gemeos", through the cities of New York, Chicago, Philadelphia, Houston, Los Angeles and Miami. On that occasion he shared the Turntables with DJ Jazzy Jeff, Big Once, PhSH, Politik and Sandman with the participations of rappers Nas and Warren G.
In Europe he played at the cities of Moscow (Russia) and Warsaw (Poland). 
Music has given him several encounters and opportunities to share knowledge, one of them with the legendary DJ Qbert in San Francisco, and also with the music producer Mario Caldato in Los Angeles. 
In Brazil, he has played with the "Godfather of Hip Hop" DJ Afrika Bambaataa, Dj Craze (USA), Brazilian DJ and producer Zegon, who is responsible for the Tropikillaz projects and N.A.S.A and the Brazilian pop music band “Jota Quest”, produced by the “Chic’s bassist, Jarry Barnes. 
By creating a dialogue between different musical styles, ignoring all boundaries, Roger Dee has shown through his trajectory, that he fully incorporates these beliefs into his work. 

• Com uma história que se confunde com o desenvolvimento da cena Hip Hop e da Música Eletrônica em Belo Horizonte, sua cidade natal, Roger Dee, é um dos precursores dessas culturas no Brasil.
