This song was supposed to be released with the EP as a whole but I changed my mind after EP listening party back in August. Never have I seen people cry to a piece of music I made, until I played this song for my friends and family that night. It’s a moment and feeling I will never forget.

I’ve been living with this piano piece for two years, trying out electronic arrangements and interpretations and getting stuck until this Spring in Spain when I decided to honour it as what it is, a piano piece. 

I never thought I would be able to write a piano piece that could stand on its own legs, I hope you feel it as deeply as I do. 

I dedicate this piece to my loving Oma, who passed away earlier this year. She is, as she always loved to say, the source of my musical DNA. When I found the voice note of her talking about her love for the piano, I put it at the beginning of the song and it fell beautifully into place, and felt completely right.

Teison is a 24-year-old music producer and DJ from Amsterdam, based in Copenhagen. He released his debut EP in 2022, a highly personal artistic expression entitled Mi Alma, which was met with support from some of the genre’s finest artists. Following the release of the EP, Teison has played regularly at the most notable clubs in Copenhagen, including Hangaren and Culture Box, with eclectic DJ sets ranging from house, breaks, prog and electro to more left-field electronica, new and old. Looking forward, a new body of work by Teison is due to arrive, finished over a month-long residence in the south of Spain in early 2024.
