Mark MacKane is a Finnish songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and musician. Mark has played in several cover and tribute bands over the years. In the fall of 2019, he started thinking about what kind of solo material he would make. 

Mark MacKane's music is in the traditional rock genre, mixing different subgenres such as hard rock, metal, punk, grunge, speed / trash metal, sleaze rock and even acoustic songs have been heard. 

Mark started listening to rock music as a child and his first love was the Sex Pistols at the age of 7. From here the road led to more traditional heavy rock and especially the iconic names of the 80s. Later, classics from the 60s and 70s also came along. In fact, influences from a very wide range can be heard in the music. There is always some punk influence in the songs, although few songs are pure punk. 

In 2020, Mark was in the process of forming a hard rock band called Lead Helmet, which disbanded in the summer of 2024. The band released a few notable songs over the years. Due to the band's busy schedule, Mark took a break from producing solo material starting in the fall of 2023, returning to solo production in the spring of 2025.
