This is a track I made in 1997 or 1998 when I was in high school. Posted on request! :)

It was made using Fast Tracker II - a freeware music application for MS-DOS. It was pretty much the best way to make sample based music on a PC if you had no money:

Both were on Channel 4 one weekend and I recorded them from the VHS player into the line-in of my sound card, an Sound Blaster AWE64 Gold Sound which I got for christmas. It was my pride and joy but is pretty noisy and crap by today's standards:

Some of the drum samples would have come from Ueberschall DNB Resonance, a sample CD I bought from Sound Control in Dundee which is now closed I think.

The Bassline was made in one of the first profesional modular synths for the PC called Native Instrument's Generator. Generator evolved into what is now Reaktor:
