Noisetalgia - Tektrix Warm Up Set - WORK Warehouse 2/21/25

Tektrix has reached an electrifying point in his musical journey, where all the elements of his distinctive sound have converged to form a powerful and evolving identity. The dark and intricate layers of his production serve as a rock-solid foundation for a career poised to make waves across the global trance scene.

The story began in 2015 when Christopher Lawrence’s Pharmacy Music released Tektrix’s debut single, “Blackout/Virus,” which earned widespread support from industry heavyweights like John Askew. This breakout release propelled Tektrix into the international spotlight. He followed it up with a stunning remix of tiNy’s “Stargazer,” before being handpicked to remix “Zulu Magic” by Indecent Noise and Christopher Lawrence himself. This remix not only hit the Top 10 in Trance Releases on Beatport but also received massive support from icons such as Aly & Fila. Building on this momentum, Tektrix dropped other standout tracks, including remixes of “Victorious” by Vita, “Absence of Light” by Triceradrops, and his dynamic “No Escape” EP.

In 2019, Tektrix caught the attention of Los Angeles-based psytrance label Sculpted Sounds. His first release with the label, “Xibalba,” showcased his ability to craft intricate, high-energy tracks that captivate listeners. Shortly after, Tektrix curated the successful compilation Psychedelic Therapy Volume 1, featuring heavyweights like Shivatree, Galactic Explorers, M-Theory, and Virtual Light, alongside LA-based producers Triceradrops, Feelionics, Sidekicks, and Wolfboy. With follow-up hits like “Alien Contact,” a collaboration with Indian producer Protonix, and “Flow State,” Tektrix quickly established himself as a cornerstone of the Sculpted Sounds roster.

Tektrix’s undeniable talent also caught the ear of globally renowned psytrance label BMSS Records. Under their banner, he released major tracks like “Complete Control” and teamed up with Protonix again for the hypnotic “Primitive Minds.”

Constantly evolving, Tektrix blends the intricacies of psytrance, the complexities of techtrance, and the raw power of techno into a bold, signature sound that fully embodies his artistic vision. With every track, he pushes the boundaries of electronic music, crafting high-energy anthems that demand attention and captivate listeners from start to finish. Shell Robinson stands at the intersection of classical training and electronic music innovation. A classically trained pianist turned house music artist, she brings a unique musicality to her productions and DJ sets that seamlessly blends technical precision with raw emotional depth.
Her journey in electronic music began in 2000 at Cleveland's "That Groovy Little Nightclub." Following a personal tragedy, house music became a powerful outlet for healing and connection. Influenced by industry pioneers like Deep Dish, Digweed, Sasha, and Hernan Cattaneo, Shell developed her signature style through dedicated craftsmanship, starting with two Technics turntables and pure determination.
The early 2000s saw Shell establish herself as a resident DJ at Moda Cleveland and Amnesia Columbus, while touring nationally alongside D:FUSE, including notable performances at San Francisco's iconic 1015 Folsom and Austin's vibrant 6th Street district. Her sets are carefully curated journeys through house music's emotional landscape, known for their progressive buildups and engaging energy that resonates with audiences.
After taking time to raise her daughter while maintaining an executive career in PropTech, Shell has returned to the decks with renewed passion and fresh perspective. Her recent releases on inU and UV Noir showcase her evolution as an artist, combining her classical foundation with contemporary electronic production techniques.
Shell's sets blend technical skill with musical intuition, creating memorable experiences on the dancefloor. Her unique background as a vocalist and pianist adds layers of musicality to her productions, setting her apart in today's electronic music landscape.

Expect Carlos Arteaga to show you a side of trance that you never knew existed. The MJR Management & Bookings-signed DJ and producer tapped into the genre’s dark undercurrent long before it flowed into the mainstream spotlight.

A DJ’s DJ in every sense, Arteaga feels most at home when the twists and turns of his set surprise him as much as the audience. His song selection never disappoints. Onstage he seamlessly blends the sort of tech and psytrance gems that you didn’t know you needed to hear yet, and he also delivers them monthly in the form of his Correlations mix series.

What has perhaps afforded Arteaga even more opportunities than his captivating style behind the decks is his professionalism as a performer. Whether given an opening, closing or peak hour time slot, he arrives prepared for each unique live music scenario. He conducts himself with the soft-spoken manner of an artist who puts art first, and tenured electronic music tastemakers have taken notice.

Now that he’s made finishing touches to brand new originals and remixes, the stage is set for Carlos Arteaga's long-awaited debut as a producer. Tech trance aficionados from all corners of the globe ought to keep this rising talent in their sights in the months to come.
