The first premiere of the week comes from Venezuela DJ and producer Dagga, who releases his track entitled ‘Floor Seats’ with Molekül, as they re-launch their sublabel ‘Perfusion’.

Hailing from Maracaibo, Venezuela, Dagga spent his younger years going to his older brother’s raves, absorbing raw techno sounds and futuristic electro from labels of the time, such as Gigolo records. Dagga showcases his razor-sharp ability to slice and dice a variety of flavours like electro, funk carioca, breaks and techno with perfect precision.

In 2020 he released his first EP, House of Flying Daggers, on Jensen Interceptor’s ‘International Chrome’. A very well received album to this date, it combines classic electro and ghetto tech, inspired by the early days of dopplerefekt and D.I.E.

‘Floor Seats’ is laced with energetic stabs and vocals, thunderous low end and pulsating basslines throughout. All of this together results in a rich production that would satiate any electro, ghetto or techno fan in search of a rich, unique and exciting sound that is fit for the dancefloor.

EKATA debuts on Data Point and joins the Censor crew with the slick 4 track Videodrome EP.

A stark-cold light flickers on the VDU of the internal server rack that once provided navigation for the Censor crew as they traverse their known systems and orbit the 3rd Moon: Data Point.

A system that once forged paths and created wormholes across multiple dimensions, but is now locked on a new channel with EKATA engaging override and now in full control of the whole vessel on this mission.

EKATA asserts control on the title track Videorome with fast-paced drums and synthesiser energy straight to the control deck. Machine Malfunctionen resets the controls with a darker more tripped out pace with icy leads and tight electro zaps altering the course of the ep by talking straight to the motherboard. Utopia allows EKATA to push the driving force on this ep with a 4/4 drop and pulsing cold lead sounds. Spectro_700 resets the coordinates and allows the crew safe voyage with a crescendo of synth-lines and fast paced drum-edits.

Only the second Sorry Records release from a non-US based artist in our nearly ten years of existence, Seimei's Tokyo Funky Breaks EP features a slammin remix from Seimei's brother and fellow young Japanese legend Carpainter in addition to a bonkers Florida Breaks remix from our friend and Baltimore-born, Brooklyn-based club music star JIALING (a.k.a. BIG J).

Co-founder of seminal Japanese dance music collective/label TREKKIE TRAX, Seimei has been a tireless force in the Japanese dance underground for over a decade now. TREKKIE TRAX's catalog is absolutely massive -- 190 releases and counting, over 800 tracks of all shapes and sizes released with DIY care and love over the last 10 years.
