@shadymonk and I met online in 2021 when I played one of his remixes in my radio set and tagged him in my story to show my respect. Since then, our friendship began, and at the beginning of 2022, he offered me a feat on the Bittersweet Bop track. Shay is an incredibly talented and ultra-productive sound producer from Philadelphia, who has more than 600 tracks in his portfolio. I am glad that he accepted my offer to work on remixes, in particular, on the tracks Cocoon and Cloud and Mountain. I was especially surprised by the remix of COCOON. From deconstructed pop, the track turned into old-school lounge trip hop, which explodes with electronic beats in the climax.

A few Words from Shay.: With this remix, as with many remixes I do that contain vocals, I felt it best to strip all of the original instrumentation back, and to follow what Nina's voice alone inspired me to do. I've been listening to lots of Neo Soul, Jazz and alternative R&B type stuff lately, and felt her performance really lent itself to something with that kind of style. For the first half of my remix, I established a bossa nova vibe focusing on shaping her vocals around my new arrangement, even re-pitching Nina's voice in some spots to match new chords. However, I really enjoyed the triplet groove of the back half of her song, and so I paid homage to that in the back half of my version as well. I experimented with different effects and wound up turning the main kick into more of a metal clanging sound, allowing me to fill in that space with new percussion and elements of my own. 
I'm very proud of this remix, and of what Nina has accomplished with her album MORPHO.
