Vor ziemlich genau einem Jahr spielten Camilla und Anna bei der selben Hausparty. Danach fragte Camilla Anna, ob sie Lust hätte, mal zusammen aufzulegen und ihr ein paar Dinge zu zeigen. Was könnte Anna ihr wohl noch beibringen dachte sie und zögerte, hatte sie oft selber das Gefühl, sie müsse noch so viel lernen. Doch dann sagte sie zu, weil sie genau wusste, wie es sich anfühlte, noch so viele Fragen zu haben, doch manchmal nicht den Raum, um diese zu stellen. Weil sie das Gefühl kannte, sich nach dieser Verbindung zu sehnen und dabei die gleiche musikalische Leidenschaft zu verspüren. 

Und so trafen sie sich und tauschten sich aus, teilten Erfahrungen und fühlten gemeinsam die Musik. Verbindung. Das, worum es bei all dem hier doch eigentlich geht. Gemeinsame Sache machen, sich gegenseitig den Rücken frei halten und neue Erinnerungen schaffen. Geimeinsam fühlen. 

Ein Jahr später standen die beiden nun gemeinsam hinter den Decks als Freundinnen und spielten die Musik, die sie beide so sehr lieben und die sie verbindet. 

Danke an @planet-disbluthek, dass ihr sowas möglich macht, Raum für Verbindung und Freundschaften schafft und kluge und starke Frauen zusammenbringt und über Zyklus, Menstruation und verbundene Erkrankungen aufklärt. Manchmal wirkt das alles so klein, aber eigentlich ist das was ziemlich Großes <3

About a year after Simon Kwe remixed Rolf Saxer's „Dust“ the two artists team up to take it slower with „Ritual“. Afternoon: Analog drums & synths, raw textures of oud-like patterns and polyrhythmic percussion loops pair with a slow but yet driving bassline. The instruments are set in a free-flowing arrangement and generate an undeniable hypnotic quality. Think down tempo shamanism at your favourite daytimer.
Dusk: Matija is one of Zurichs dancefloor veterans, keeping it fresh since years. He adds a „Carpenter meets Pachanga Boys“-quality with a beautiful synth pad and some extra bass-sounds. You can't listen without thinking of the sun starting to set over the best outdoor rave you've ever been to. Night time: König Balthasar's version drags you into the vortex of endless delays and filter sweeps. While one might think Matija celebrates the fading daytime Balthasar provides the crowd with this most peculiar way-past-midnight-thrills. Dawn: Enter Oilst, part of the Irubo family and one half of the Wandervogel-Duo. His remix showcases an irresistible groove and swing with some extra percussion, a 16th note synth-shuffle and intriguing lead sounds. Feel the sun rise with this one?

 To honor the lovely island of Jamaica, this dj set is simply my favorite feel good reggae tunes.  You will hear dub, conscious dancehall, lovers rock, ska,  and traditional roots reggae songs. Jamaica's musical influence is also heard in some Latin, West African, Turkish, Arabic, and Isreali tunes as well.  I really tried to tell a story with the songs, so I encourage you to listen closely to the lyrics, which speak about uniting together, becoming a better version of your self, the problems and challenges with money, the joy of smoking marijuana, everyday struggles, living good, and of course, LOVE. Almost all of these tracks I own on vinyl, and I had such a blast recording these all week long, just vibing on down memory lane, in preparation for  this set. Just a little reinterpreation for my 2019-Liveset @klunkerkranich :)
The original Rabenkind was a little laidback, so I wanted a more danceable/funky version. It is not thaaaat polished (just added the E-Piano I wanted to play live, changed the Kick and did some basic mixing). This release is kind of a "Thank you" for supporting me in 2020 that much :) You will see some more releases from myself and my project @bassaramusic (with the lovely @sahrabass) in the near future!
