Dance The Inner Fire – Live Ecstatic set by Baraku – Pardes Hana - 19 September 2022

Max and I met sometime around 2010-11 on the island of Maui both of us living with our dear friend Malka MaBlissa in Haiku. I remember him fresh out of college, young and bright, always doing pull-ups in the doorway, practicing the horn on the patio, smiling and eating healthy. Fast forward to 2023 and although his facial hair has grown out, as has mine, we both are very much the same deep inside at the core. On the emotional level, also both of us on a healing journey of the heart, and perhaps also still searching for both ourselves and our way to show up in this world, with out gifts and talents and instruments in tow. 

This set is a co-creation of our musical talents and sentiments as they stand today. I'm proud of where we have come, and the growth I've seen in us both. This was recorded live at the Asheville Movement Collective.

I hope you enjoy this collaboration, and perhaps there will be more like this to share in the future. With love and aloha ~ Micah aka Mikaya

The third Song of this Winter Solstice Vibe invites us to embrace a moment of tranquil Movement meditation, allowing ourselves the luxury of time.

Turtles have been revered in diverse ancient cultures worldwide for their serene nature, patience, and profound wisdom. Symbolizing longevity, stability, and resilience owing to their enduring lifespans, leisurely pace, sturdy presence, and weathered countenance, they stand as a universal emblem of these virtues.

Through this composition, the intention is to convey a sense of ease, a gentle continuation within life's current, urging us to embrace the art of meditation. 
It's an invitation to connect with the Turtles Energies to Dive an Navigate between dimensions with this groovie serene motion.

Footsteps in Flame opens with ambient textures and vinyl crackle, dissolving into whispered vocal fragments and lo-fi overlays. The build introduces swung percussion, analog synth pads, and a syncopated arpeggiated lead layered with stereo shimmer. The drop anchors the arc with a pulsing bassline, crisp kick-snare combo, and loopable vocal phrases delivered with melodic restraint and rhythmic detachment. Harmonic motion flows through subtle filter sweeps and sidechain delay, balancing groove with emotional ambiguity.

The breakdown softens into ambient stretch and reversed motifs, while the outro fades into shimmer decay and whispered echoes of the title phrase. The instrumental tail invites remixers to reframe the arc with vocal-forward edits and sync-ready shimmer FX.

This track is an original composition, remixed in a surreal and emotionally cool style. It is shared publicly for immersive listening and artistic expression.

This track was a real collaboration with one of my favorite singers on this planet, Kyrstyn Pixton. The song is about embracing being alone, and the places that we find ourselves in that journey. Our music is a mirror of our life, a way to express ourselves beyond words. The track features Temple Step Projects violin player Laura Targett on a fusion of vocals and violin also.
