Created in late 2019, Elm Tree is a creative collaboration between producer & musician Tobious (toby ouston), vocalist Iris Zubareva, & bassist & producer Jacob Smith.

Mixing influences from bedroom pop, trip hop & jangled guitar goodness into our music,

First becoming friends in 2013, Jacob & Tobious became close friends and musical partners.
Both meeting whilst attending the University of Chichester to study music, they worked on many different projects, helping to launch label Chalkpit Records, and making upbeat indie anthems in the band ECSESS. Performing at Isle of Wight Festival & being featured on BBC Radio in 2016/2017,
Jacob later went on to work with Nakamarra, an eclectic indie project that went on to play festivals such as Common People, Bestival & Ingle Fest, As well as receiving the praise of John Giddings (Iow Festival) & touring with Wild Front in 2018.

In 2019, the two paired up with Iris after meeting through mutual University friends,
With the release of their debut single in March 2019, a self produced trip hop introduction, the group are just getting started.

Killing Morton is a three-piece heavy alternative, hard rock band which infuses grungey guitars and hints of post-punk sounds with metal influenced breakdowns. 
Lyrically inspired by The Manic Street Preachers, with songs about Harold Shipman and Dr David Kelly.
In between releases Killing Morton has played a number of shows at Strings on the Isle Of Wight, The Hobbit in Southampton and headlined The Edge Of The Wedge in Portsmouth. Live performances are fierce and emotive, with every song performed with heart and soul.
