Those chorus lines from one of the tracks in Schleichcast°51 speak for themselves, providing quite a fitting summary of the vibe this mixtape conveys. This set feels like sand between toes while licking ice-cream, like some nourishing sunscreen gently applied to soft and tanned skin, like those lighthearted days that never seem to end and when they finally do, you almost missed the darkness of the night because the sun rises so early. In other words: the perfect soundtrack for summer and a wonderful potpourri of multicolored electronica and acoustic music, around-the-world-rhythms paired with souly-jazzy tunes…and not to forget, some slow n’ smooth downtempo. Thank you so much dear @maltesar for creating this musical treat!

>>Wer bist du und woher kommst du?
Ich bin Malte, Teil des 'Kollektiv Nachtkerze', komme aus Berlin und bin zwischen Wald, Havel und Tegeler See im Berliner Norden aufgewachsen. 

>>Wie kamst du zum Auflegen?
Die natürliche Evolution des Aufwachsens in Berlin? Oft in Clubs und viele Freundschaften, die einen an die Teller stellen - wodurch ich glücklicherweise vor 9 Jahren zum Downtempo gefunden habe.

>>Was hat dich für das Set inspiriert?
Skinshape, dessen neueste Platte ich mit Spannung erwarte, die Band Jembaa Groove, die ich endlich mal live sehen muss und meine Liebe zu den Wurzeln des ganz ganz langsamen Downtempos mit vielen organischen Elementen. In diesem Set habe ich mich mal daran probiert all diese Inspirationen zusammenfließen zu lassen.

>>Shout outs! Wer ist aktuell dein:e lieblings Künstler:in?
Ich bin auf der Fusion an der Freikörperküste zu den Klängen von den Jungs von Ali Dada aufgeweckt worden. Bin früher immer mal wieder über Edits von deren Tracks gestolpert, aber habe jetzt deren Live-Sounds lieben gelernt - Shout Out geht raus. Ein gute Portion Akustik-Love geht raus an die Tracks von @itsChristianHansen.

>>Was gefällt dir besonders an "langsamer" Musik?
Sie gibt mir den Raum mich in der Musik zu verlieren, abzuschalten und mich treiben zu lassen - ohne zu überfordern. Alle Elemente eines Tracks bekommen den Platz den sie verdienen und es findet sich meist ein ganz bestimmter Schlag Mensch auf den Tanzflächen der langsamen Musik zusammen - das verbindet und geht unter die Haut.

We're so thankful to have played for you at this year's Garbicz! Winebar had the most electric energy this year and it was such a joy sharing our energy with you all on the dance floor. This set starts off with some slower house vibes and slowly progresses towards more playful elements. There're some funky latin and afro influences in the middle, ending in some bouncy tech-house.

We are super excited to celebrate our hundreth Opus of our Serafin Sinfonia with a very special mix of our favorites @sutsche Their style of playing vinyl records that usually run on 45RPM on 33RPM instead, is the true origin of downtempo and also the true origin of Serafin. Serafin was founded back in 2016 when @iorie listened to one of their sets in Hamburg and thought to himself "that is what i want to do". So thanks a lot to sutsche for this very special set and thanks a lot to all of you for being with us for such a long time already <3

Reflections is an inward journey.

Each track on the EP is a single entity, however they culminate on the same theme. the push, pull and take of love and the journey in finding ones self.

The latest two releases, Hiding in Plain Sight and Gravitate, represent the more introspective and deeper themes on the EP. Where as If I Could Be Yours and Please Believe Me invoke the lighter and wild abandonment emotions. 

Hiding in Plain Sight is a reflection into thought process and ego. The allusion is drawn to the self we identify with, who we see ourselves to be - but evokes the notion that there is a self awareness behind this identity that hides in plain sight. 

Gravitate is all about my personal journey over the past few years, finding myself and journeying inward to more understand consciousness. The chorus speaks about how we try to grasp and hold on to moments and people, those moments you wish would last forever.

The songs I write are intimately personal. I became a songwriter first as self therapy, which then developed into a way to process self inquiry, I see each song almost as a diary entry. These 4 songs coincide in this way. they are impressions and states of mind that we go through - the ups and downs of life.

That is why we called it Reflections, each song is an insight. 
Everyones personality has its bright lights and dark shadows, we’ve tried to reflect that into this EP.

Temple Haze's music is an ever evolving and ever changing tapestry. From his roots in Blues and Gospel music to his explorations into modern Trip-Hop, Ambient and Organic House; Temple combines his spiritual journey and abstract songwriting in a unique world of beat production, creating a deep and intimate musical cornucopia.

Temple started his journey into music on the road, hitchhiking around the US and Europe, working on organic farms, living an off-the-grid lifestyle, busking on the streets and finding his way as a vagabond. After nearly 4 years on the road, he moved to Berlin to settle into the vibrant artistic community.

Since then the Washington, DC native has been making waves in Berlin’s electronic music scene. Temple is also known for his collaborations and features with Oliver Koletzki, Sepalot, FEATHERED SUN, Sam Shure, ulises, narou and Bakery

Temple also dives deep into sound design and immersive soundscape production. As co-founder and musical director of Soneiro Collective he creates unique, immersive sound experiences, portraying the best of his universal knowledge and empathic feeling for creating sonic worlds.

Now, Temple set's his sight on a new blend of organic electronic music with his long awaited next EP: An Opening Within. Out now!
