Exclusive Source of Psychedelic World Music.The company was founded in 2007 by two visual artists who collaborate to produce and release the creative work of musicians from different cultural backgrounds and traditions. We realize that there's a lot of talented artists around the globe who produce ingenious work that never had a chance to be discovered for lack of financial support or promotion.

Gav was born into a musical family in the town of Drogheda, Ireland. He picked up a guitar as a young boy and started performing at the age of 9; he has been playing, writing, performing, and recording ever since.

After relocating with his family to Perth, Australia when he was 10, Gav began studying music, and at the age of 14 formed a rock band called Wasted Youth with three of his fellow students. The four young friends rose to high acclaim, winning a WAM award, touring nationally and performing at Australia!s biggest festivals, including the Big Day Out.

Since that time, Gav has been working as a professional musician with his two brothers as part of Perth!s much loved Irish folk rock band The
Healys. The Healy brothers have toured Australia, Ireland and recently shared the stage and collaborated on The Vast Project with artists such as Paul Dempsey, Bernard Fanning, Glenn Richards, Kav Temperley, Sally Seltman, Jae Laffer, Paul McDermott and many other fine artists. The Healys were described in an article by The West Australian as “the project’s secret weapons”, and Gav!s song “Tradition” is featured on the Vast album.

In 2020, Gav released his debut solo album ‘All In Good Time’, which he wrote, produced and performed entirely on his own. The songs on this album are influenced by his personal journeys and stories, and were written at different stages of his life.

‘All In Good Time’ highlights the joys and sorrows that Gav has experienced, and which he believes others may relate to. Around the Sound called the album “bloody good music that will find a way of speaking to your heart and soul”.

Gav!s second release ‘3’ is a very raw and stripped back emotional journey. It features the song "Slán Go Fóill” which translates to "Bye for now” in Gaelic; a song he wrote to express to his dying Dad that he was loved and cherished. In another article by Around The Sound, writer Andrea Thompson stated that what “Healy is doing right now [with ‘3’] is turning his pain in to some of the rawest and most beautiful music I’ve heard in a long time”.

June 2022 sees Gav releasing his latest single “Moment”.

Gav describes this song as “essentially about cherishing and appreciating the special moments in life before they are gone.

On the day my Dad died I sang and played a couple of songs to him. I sang “Drive” by The Cars to him as I used to love hearing him sing his version of the song, and I also sang “End Of The Line” by the Traveling Wilburys to him.
The moment Dad died has impacted me profoundly, and I keep playing it over and over in my head. Writing this song has felt like a healing process and a way of letting it go. I intentionally tried to capture the feeling and atmosphere of “Drive” by The Cars, but the beat and notation are different. I also referenced the Traveling Wilburys “End Of The Line” in the song too.

I also wanted a sound that was symbolic of a huge moment in time so I used the Apollo 11 lift off audio from public domain. After the lift off audio I tried to create a sound that was uplifting and more like a celebration. There is also a grandfather clock sound to emphasize time and how I feel like it!s running out.

“Moment” for me is a healing song and a tribute to my Dad.”

Gav has pushed himself out of his comfort zone with this single. He has replaced his guitars with synths and keys. “Moment” has an atmospheric and contemplative soundscape. Its cosy, nostalgic feel embraces the listener throughout, and reminds us of the bittersweet, yet beautiful fragility of life.

Even though Gav has been performing for the better part of his life, this is only the beginning of what is to come in his solo career.
