"I made this while dotting about Asia across multiple studios, cafes & hotel rooms so I'm happy with how it came together. Think I've managed to take the track into a different, darker space using mostly just the original stems, heavily processed to create a new sound palette while keeping it in the same world as the original. Been a fan of Or:la since the UK Lonely release which I fully rinsed when it came out so it's great to be asked to get on the remix duties" ~ @yushh

This is a 9 track album spanning a lot of different styles and speeds, made up of tracks recently found on an old hard drive, most of which were part of releases that didn't end up coming out including an album I was previously working on.
Almost all of my biggest influences are reflected across the tracks so I'm really happy to be finally getting them out there. I hope you enjoy and massive big ups to anyone who supports!

Amsterdam-based duo North Not South land on Flippen Bits with the ‘Shifting Dunes’ EP, out July 10.  A refined and emotionally resonant debut, the EP highlights the duo’s knack for blending mysterious atmospheres, euphoric builds, and meticulous sound design.

Across its four original tracks, ‘Shifting Dunes’ explores a vivid sonic landscape where uncanny vocal snippets float over polyrhythms, four-to-the-floor kicks intertwine with breakbeats, and ambient pads swell into thundering basslines. The result is a record that radiates creativity—perfectly straddling the line between club utility and immersive listening.

First time I came across SPE:C was through Sepehr’s elegant chugger « Roll the Dice », I’ve now had the opportunity to do my own take on it, very much inspired by 2010s techy dubstep from the likes of Asusu, Fureshu, A Made Up Sound, etc …channeling milimalism and nostalgia. 
Also on the remix pack is Jasmin’s halftime groover remix of my track « Calibre » part of the Take a Sip EP I did on SPE:C last year
