Nel quinto capitolo della nostra rubrica MANIMAL about DJs vi andiamo a proporre un duo italiano che si sta facendo conoscere in tutta Europa, stiamo parlando dei MARMO.

Questo progetto, abbastanza recente, è nato dalla collaborazione di due ragazzi, Christian Duka e Marco Maldarella. Entrambi con un passato nel mondo del metal si sono avvicinati alla musica elettronica anche grazie al TimeShift, con una serie di eventi che dal 2014 hanno portato nella città di Bologna nomi più noti e meno del panorama underground internazionale. MARMO è "live improvvisation"  con cui i due si esprimono andando a toccare le sfaccettature più dark della techno music.

Il loro sound è molto apprezzato e ha permesso al duo di esibirsi in contesti importanti come il Tresor di Berlino e l'evento organizzato dalla label Kaos di Londra in collaborazione con Unmasked, proprio nella capitale britannica. In Italia tra gli altri oltre cha al TimeShift MARMO ha presenziato anche al party di Natale del Titilla in collaborazione con MOHO club discontinuo.

Ecco il loro Live set registrato nella serata all' Electrowerkz di Londra, organizzato appunto da "Kaos London".

Resonant Coil
is the moniker of Nicola Buono. He started his dj career in the 90's but he later decided to dedicate his interests to live music and production. Cofounder of Retina it togheter with Lino monaco, he has been active since 2000 with several live shows in different festivals ( Sonar, Boom, Neapolis etc) and has released with labels such as Hefty Records, Semantica, Substrato, Glacial Movements, Flatemate,etc. He has also shared many other projects with Lino monaco, The Ne-21 (Domestica Rec.2013 , She Lost Control 2017) R2p (Midgard Rec. 2017 with PRG/M and Ruigh) Brood (Hefty Records 2008 with John Hughes) Resina (Mousikelab 2003 with Marco Messina) Qmen (Design music 1997, Primate Rec. 1998, Conform Rec. 1999 with Rino Cerrone.
DIY lover. He builds up his own acoustic and electronic instruments, such as modular synth, noise box, efx. He prefers a darker sound, floating between Dub, evocative ethnic music, with some noise, industrial.

Beloved Exile is the new studio full-length by Steve Moore, his first non-soundtrack album in over five years, and his first for Temporary Residence Ltd. A prevalent figure of the modern synth era, Moore cofounded the influential synth-prog duo, Zombi, and has scored more than a dozen feature films and TV shows, including The Guest, Crunch Time, and Mayhem. Composed and produced by Steve Moore in his home studio in upstate New York, Beloved Exile is a collaboration with internationally-renowned Tunisian singer-songwriter Emel Mathlouthi, visionary harpist Mary Lattimore, and veteran percussionist Jeff Gretz. Drawing influences from vintage ambient synth libraries, New Age/spiritual music, and menacing horror film canon, Beloved Exile proves to be simultaneously exquisite and deceptively unsettling.
