Geechi The Goblin, born Johnathan Depina is a Cape Verdean/American music artist from Boston, Ma. The name "Goblin" is in reference to his October 31st (Halloween) birthday. "Geechi" was a term commonly used in the New England area to degrade Cape Verdeans and other people who were deeply rooted in their native cultures. Being the son of two immigrant parents, he naturally adopted the ways of his folks. "The insults never could phase me because I'm so proud of being who I am." As a matter of fact, he owned it. Literally. In 2018 he started "Geechi Amerika" (www.geechiamerika.com) a fashion & accessory brand inspired by his own custom designs. "I was always ok doing Me and not being like everyone else. If people thought it was cool or not, I did things my way."
