Phantom Override is a dark, glitch-infused cyberpunk instrumental crafted by D4rK Rekords. Released in 2025, it stands as a sonic invasion into a world where control is an illusion and systems betray their own creators. With futuristic synths, cinematic tension, and glitchcore textures, it evokes the emotional madness of losing one’s place inside a collapsing digital world.

Phantom Override explores the moment when a system designed for order becomes haunted by its own anomalies. It represents a mental override — a forced descent into chaos where no commands work, no rescue arrives. The track simulates the raw, spiraling emotion of being overridden by something darker than logic: corrupted hope, fractured memories, and synthetic madness.

𝗠𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗦𝘁𝘆𝗹𝗲
The production leans heavily into dark cyberpunk, glitchcore, and cinematic EDM. Deep glitch bass, tension-building synth arpeggios, distorted trap drums, and eerie cinematic strings weave together to simulate a digital battle against one's own mind. Subtle VHS textures and degraded signal layers give the song a heavy feeling of digital decay and spiraling tension, mirroring the madness within.

Teniak is the Drum and Bass project of Finnish musician Viktor Hurskainen. After a having been active in music for 20 years through various band projects, 6 years of music studies and degrees in London, composing for film and media plus various other projects, the Teniak project was born as a way to retain complete creative freedom and full control over all aspects of production.

 Vik’s style fuses massive bass sounds, evolving textures and snappy rhythmical work through ever-changing, intricate and engaging arrangements that combine musicality, excitement, playfulness and nose-wrinkling stank.  Through a mix of influences ranging from jazz fusion and film music to groovy electronica and filthy neurofunk, Vik blends sounds and textures in original ways while retaining a modern aesthetic. 

Since its launch in 2021, Teniak has had releases on renowned labels like Blackout Music and ProgRAM, and Vik’s music has been played at European clubs and festivals like Let It Roll and Darkshire by big names of the scene such as Black Sun Empire and Sinister Souls. Guest-mixes, placements on international radio shows and podcasts plus features on Beatport’s DnB HypeTop100 as well as Spotify’s editorial playlists have further supported the music.
