Teniak is the drum and bass project by Finnish-born musician Viktor Hurskainen. Vik has been involved in music since childhood, initially focusing on guitar which led to years of music studies in London and eventually leading to film composing and orchestration. After having followed briefs and other people’s visions, the Teniak project was born in 2021 as a way to retain complete creative freedom in all aspects of production. Armed with 2 decades of experience in a myriad of situations, styles and genres, Vik now explores the realm of drum and bass, which has remained a constant passion since early teenage years. Expect dirty bass, ever-evolving arrangements with engaging ideas and mind-boggling transitions that will break expectations.
Not afraid to defy any and all rules and trends, the idea of the Teniak project is to explore music in whatever way ‘feels right’. That just so happens to be heavy drum and bass.

Since starting the project in 2021 Teniak has had releases on legendary labels like Blackout Music and RAM Record's ProgRAM imprint, plus neuro-champions Ignescent Recordings and underground bass heads Wonk#ay Records. Vik has also been seen playing iconic venues such as Cross Club in Prague. Guestmixes on various international radio shows and podcasts, placements on Beatport’s DnB HypeTop100 as well as Spotify editorial playlists have also shown further support for the music.
