If you haven't noticed, Throne of Blood has deep ties to Paris. One of our closest friends there is Cosmo Vitelli, the man behind the always amazing I'ma Cliche label and the Edit Series. A fantastic DJ/producer, Cosmo's a part of the fam even though he's yet to release any music on the label. That said, he's got an insanely good track coming soon on Throne of Blood's forthcoming MOON ROCK compilation.

Bordello A Parigi had the chance to dig up some unreleased Flemming Dalum gold from the now defunct Roller Disco Records archives. We present Serie d'Oro!

Roller Disco Records began in 2010 in the UK with a focus on releasing DJ mixes containing obscure and overlooked sub-genres of italo and European 80s. In Serie d'Oro, the mix archives are flung wide open with unreleased DJ mixes from Flemming Dalum. The first mix 'The Mad Scientist' is a concoction of experimental and obscure italo records from the laboratory of the King Of The Cut. Some of the records in this mix are from 1980 and sound advanced even today, 35 years later.

The first ever mix from the beat loft parties.  

beat is a new experience created by Ralph Lawson & Tom Van Zeller - fusing food and music in one space. bespoke one off venues turned into a bar, restaurant and 
loft party for one or two nights only.  

the first beat was scheduled for march 23rd and sold out very quickly so we added an extra date on march 22nd which also sold out. this mix was recorded live from one of those events.  

I love playing in clubs but in a loft party space the freedom opens up for the dj to play more diverse sounds and people can get down and totally lose themselves in the music in a magical environment.

I don't want to recreate the past and just play old music.  I want to create my own version of the long running loft tradition that started way back with David Mancuso in New York. I also don't take the name in vain.  It is about creating a space and a vibe so people feel like they are entering your house and everyone is open to letting the music take control.  I played a few classics but also there is a lot of new music in the mix and many edits.  special thanks to DJ Butcher for supplying so many great Chopshop edits.   

the first beat events went exactly as we had hoped, they have inspired us to continue the concept.  we'd love you to get involved if this is where your heart is and come and make the next beat events just as good.

Hello girls & boys,

here's our new baby : "bedtime stories - sounds for a sweaty summer"... the idea behind this mix was to share some of the best tracks we've discovered in the past few months. as you can imagine, we weren't able to limit ourselves to new discoveries and ended up putting some old favorites into the stew.    
summer is always a very special moment for us as our music seems to be the product of warmth and sunshine. for those of you fortunate enough to head to the beach, we hope this will provide the perfect soundtrack for your barbecues, volley-ball games and poolside parties. for those of you who won't have the opportunity to take a vacation, let's hope this gives you a little bit of digital sunshine and puts a smile on your faces.
