Artist biography :
From her Franco-Brazilian-Japanese origins, Akira embodies a free and wild soul with the beating heart of a universal rhythm. She weaves spellbinding atmospheres, guided by cosmic and hypnotic sounds succumbing to the enchantment of progressive House and Trance. Her journey ends with a dive into the abyss of Deep and Dub Techno, where she dissolves and reborn. Akira metamorphoses and evolves, taking the crowd on a mystical odyssey, each set becoming an initiatory journey towards the confines of transcendence.

Born and raised on the island of Mauritius, @djsportt is now based in Barcelona. With a love for polyrhythmic, bouncy, mind-bending sounds, she brings up disorienting rhythms playing between tension and release, keeping listeners engaged in ever-shifting sonic landscapes.
She crafts a distinctive sound within the deeper, bass-driven and psychedelic realms of club music. Her DJ sets are driven by an adventurous, storytelling approach, focussing on channelling into the depths of textures and intricate rhythms.
 
For this mix, she explores a slightly different selection than usual, focussing on deep and dubby techno evolving into breaks and bass, maintaining a kind of warm-up energy all the way.

It’s a rare treat to share this recording from two of my favorite powerhouse selectors, Rotterdam’s Nelly and Oslo’s Marius Bø, who linked behind the decks at Nantes’ renowned Macadam last December for a night curated by club resident Bambi. The result, as expected, soars. Witness a three-hour cyclone of blistering, mind-shattering divinations capturing these two in their finest element, an uplifting of the psyche leaving no layer unturned. Thanks Nelly & Marius!

"Juno Review: A record that explores deep, hypnotic rhythms with a strong tribal and mystical undercurrent, the latest Siamese Twins records pushes the boundaries of what is possibly in eastern influences underground techno. Side-1 opens with 'The Golden Triangle', an atmospheric introduction that feels cinematic, setting the stage with ambient textures before giving way to movement. 'Lens of Time' follows, locking into a deep, primal groove where rolling percussion and rich low-end create an entrancing effect. Curating his ambient oriented "The Line Shifting to Dots" parties. That focuses on physical deep listening. He will  deconstruct and smudge out the tactile surroundings that will drive your mind into the unknown.

Lens of Time’ builds its pulse from unconventional percussive patterns, weaving together organic textures with GiGi FM’s ethereal vocals. As she explains, “We drew on traditional Thai instruments from the studio, blending them with live recordings of my voice—both for singing and percussive elements. Poetry added another layer, grounding the track with an emotional, almost narrative dimension.”

As GiGi FM reflects, “Our work together became about tapping into something much bigger than ourselves—this grand, cosmic interconnectedness. Time, for us, wasn’t linear—it felt collective and expansive, a thread connecting our experiences, traumas, and creative visions.”
