The mesmerising Âme remix has been gliding its way round sound systems across the globe since the start of the year and it's no surprise as to why. The six piece collective claims to have its Kibbutz somewhere in the Aegean Sea. Sirens Of Lesbos aka SOL (Sun in Spanish) have a serious, noble goal: They want to spread mantras – musically uplifting and spiritually meaningful songs that inspire you to embrace life in all its forms; that make you dance in your fantasy or in the real world. For the past two years, we have been playing almost every production by Matthew Dekay & Lee Burridge. Now we're very happy to welcome both of them on Innervisions IV38. We normally wouldn't do things like this but too many people have asked for a download. We're turning a blind eye to our own judgement on cheesy-mashups. So here is one of the bootlegs we made for the 90s mix. We've pulled it out of the project for your enjoyment.

This encapsulates 1999 for us. Cassius - Feeling For You was one of the first records we ever bought. The fact that it had a Les Rythmes Digitales Remix makes it even better. We weren't to know at 12 years old that this song would still be just as playable 14 years later,  and how much of an impact both Cassius and Stuart Price would have on our music tastes while learning to DJ. And what more needs to be said about Outkast? One of the greatest hip-hop acts to ever exist. They were the soundtrack to every house party since the beginning of high school. Big Boi and Andre 3000 in the same studio. How could that go wrong?

Summer slowly approaches. This one's a retrospective mix from a recent afternoon spent at a lovely lawn party, where I took to the decks for a musical wind-down through sunset. The twilight vibe will always be one of my favorites. There's a slight sense of lament as the day draws dim, that familiar feeling of something meeting its inevitable end. But still, a soft touch of light - pretty, flickering melodies.

Darkness Falls return with this extensive and comprehensive remix edition of ‘Alive In Us’ on hfn music – featuring an exclusive new track as well as previously unreleased gold dust from the Danish duo. 

Back in 2011 Darkness Falls first emerged from the ever-fertile Copenhagen music scene and enchanted our hearts. Vocalist and keyboard player Josephine Philip and guitarist and bass player Ina Lindgreen managed somehow to concoct a heady brew of spacey pop, road-trip melancholia, and woozy, sexy atmospherics that hinted at magical things. Their debut long player confirmed out suspicions - ‘Alive In Us’ is a blissful trip into a uniquely modern kaleidoscope of emotions and styles – moody and spellbinding, mysterious and somehow heart-warming. 

Fast-forward to 2013 and the duo are gracing us with a Remix Edition package that fully reignites our love affair. Kicking off with the sublime new and exclusive ‘A Dream Within a Dream’, Darkness Falls sound as deliriously beautiful as ever – haunted and desolate yet passionate and driven.
 
Elsewhere the remix edition brings us instrumental versions of some of the stand out tracks from ‘Alive in Us’, including ‘Strangers Coming’, ‘Before the Light Takes Us’, and ‘100 Meter Mind Dash’. 

We are also treated to stunning reworks of ‘Timeline’ by some of the hottest names in electronica  - Com Truise, Pional and Sun Glitters all take the original into fresh new directions. Alongside a Kasper Bjørke  rework of ‘Hey!’, exceptional versions of previous single ‘The Void’ are also presented by Trentemøller, Terje Bakke and Clueless – epic, windswept and cinematic moods that perfect compliment the ethereal atmosphere of Darkness Falls.
