Back When I wasn't Old Enough To Drive

The Existence of Harvey Lord is an amorphous psych-folk group based around Lancaster, UK who play songs written and sung by Harvey Lord.
Harvey’s songs have a distinctive lyrical and vocal style, with psychedelic and often existential lyrics being delivered in a broad Kendal accent. Harvey is backed, along with his own guitar playing, by a range of instruments from banjo to flute to violin. This large number of instrumentalists in the band, rather than creating the bombastic, orchestral sound that one might expect, work to create delicate, intertwining lines of simple melody, creating full, shimmering soundscapes that still have space.
'Yoke'-The title of TEOHL's third album marks a slight lyrical and musical shift. This album sees to introduction of old and new Cumbrian folk tales, retold for a contemporary audience.
