We had a pleasure to have @techija from Ukraine as a protagonist of our renown "Jungbrunnen" series few years ago. On 07.10.2023 we had an occasion to welcome him personally on our "Mach Mal Langsam" event in the Kreativfabrik in Wiesbaden. No wonder, we had to press record button on. Enjoy the journey!   

Techija is a part of @povilno records, the record label and the creative crew & a community behind the musical "calm down" movement in the Ukrainian capital and Odessa before the russian full scale invasion.

His career as a DJ and musician started just a few years ago, but he has been searching for new sounds since the 90s. 2020 he became a co-founder of the POVILNO RECORDS ("povilno" means "slow" in Ukrainian). This project is supposed to give a push to the development of new dance genres and artists in this country. It accentuates the transience of time, need to "slow down" and live in the moment...

Notonecte by Komorebi & Morse

It was summer 2021 when I had the pleasure to dance to an intimate RSS Disco set at the lake side. This reminded me of the time when they started the slowhouse scene in Hamburg back in the days what brought me into electronic music in general and made me start a downtempo live band (I can’t describe these times without mentioning the other Hamburg downtempo pioneers Sutsche <3).
Well at that night I felt the drive to create a mixtape dedicated to RSS’s classic space disco style… of course in a quite funky way. The beginning was made quik, to find the completion took ages.
Well here’s my tribute to the pioneers of our genre… we owe you everything.
