Based around an acoustic riff, the song is about how a wave can be the start, or the end of something, and maybe a chance to start again. Produced by Shael Wrinch at Stone Hill studios on Bowen Island, B.C. Chris Herbsen on vocals, Shael doing harmonies and more of that great slide guitar.

“The Way” started with a piano melody and kept unfurling as I healed from the loss of a few loved ones last year…which was capped off with my beautiful family dogs both passing. The lyrics to this song took on their loss, but the whole thing is really an open entry from my own grief process through to happiness again.

I am not a musician but music plays a very important role in my creative life! I am an artist/designer and music is my companion and my muse in the long hours I spend working in my studio!
