Norwegian producer and RBMA alum @fakethias likes his sonic textures a little rough around the edges. "Thrust", culled from his new 'Torn/Enhanced' EP, is a case in point – conjuring a whirlwind of industrial-inspired club sounds and culminating in a barrage of pneumatic kicks that dissolve just as suddenly and ominously as they arrived.

Cinthie’s we_r_house returns with its eighth release this April, a four-track EP coming courtesy of San Francisco’s Sam Haskin.

‘Negative Space’ leads with bumpy drums, jazzy key sequences, airy dub chords and spoken word vocals creating a smooth opening for the project. ‘Eaze Up’ follows next, picking up the pace with a swinging rhythm, sharp synth stabs and wandering, jazzy organ lines throughout.
‘Potato Gun’ leads on the flip-side, stripping things back to lay focus on choppy snares, off-kilter percussion and a snaking bass groove, whilst stirring in swirling chords and plucked melodies throughout. ‘Not Right Now’ then rounds out the release, embracing a more disco house leaning aesthetic with funk-infused licks, soft strings, natural bass tones and organic drums.
