Following on from the success of Capriati’s album Self Portrait, 4 tracks have been hand selected by some of techno’s hottest producers. Dubfire, Coyu, Julian Jeweil, Luigi Madonna have each incorporated the same feeling that Joseph laid out in his original productions, but have added a unique twist that breathes a new lease of life into the tracks.

Layton Giordani makes his Truesoul debut with a pumping, three track release. The high energy tracks showcase Layton’s youthful and fresh approach to production. ‘Unspoken’, holding a pounding kick drum and thumping techno sound, is the heavier of the three tracks whilst ‘Misunderstood’ and ‘Trusting You’ cut a lighter groove. The samples are uplifting, sounds imaginative and the percussion is tight - this EP is not to be missed.

Stereo Productions is an independent House label and a pioneer brand founded at the end of the nineties in Madrid, whose influence has been notorious in the Music Industry in the last 15 years that is known for its quality and its characteristic and recognizable style known as the Iberican Sound. Chus & Ceballos, Iberican Sound founders and ambassadors, specialists in fusing sounds and rhythmic bases full of percussion and organic elements introduce us to their new studio project with the DJ and producer, also from Madrid, Óscar L, an outstanding figure from the national scene thanks to his excellent projects full of energy, groove and fresh rhythms. The result of this union is “Flow”, a frenetic EP with 3 original tracks; “The Flow” with American Jackin' House influences, a contagious rhythm and effective drops, specially aimed at the dance floor; “Funkarrone” with a more mental and Tech essence and changes of rhythm that captivate from the first instant; and lastly, “Da Da Dam”, the EP's most Techno track, perfectly framed in a more current line with a noticeable old school bass drum and vocals in the shape of sparkles that shine in the darkness. “Flow EP” will be available on Stereo Productions from 24th of November on the usual sales and streaming channels.

Alan Fitzpatrick’s We Are The Brave celebrated its 10th release in November and to close out a truly outstanding year, they continue to set the standards higher than ever, welcoming Sasha to the WATB family this December.
 
‘Sasha and I got to hang out a little through 2016 at various gigs we played together and the idea for the collaboration was born’ Alan says. ‘I have been a Sasha fan for some time, so for this collab to now be actually happening and for it to have come together pretty quickly, given our crazy our touring schedules, just goes to show that dreams can come true if you want them bad enough.’
 
The release features one original track, with two outstanding versions, and is a true example of the work, exploration and compromise that goes into musical collaboration. ‘It was great to collaborate with Alan’ Sasha says. ‘We kept going back and forth, sharing ideas, trying different melodies, synths and beats. We were struggling to decide on a final version. In the end we just couldn't choose, so decided to release both. We’ve been testing them out on the road and they've been getting some fantastic reactions.’
 

 


A thumping kick drum, sits alongside a thick and fluid groove, setting the tone in Version 1. This track has an amalgamation of synthetic patters and vocal strands which blend seamlessly together, filtering off one another in perfect syncopation.
 
Version 2 has a little more drive, and a clearer techno path. As with V.1 its thumping kick drum rolls punches throughout the mix, with synth stabs slicing through its heady bass notes.
 
‘The process of making music together was actually really smooth and natural’ Alan adds, ‘of course you always have at the back of your mind that this is one of the biggest projects you’ve worked on and that adds a certain pressure. But I really enjoyed that aspect of this release and I feel like the uniqueness of it really added something to my creativity and imagination.’
