'Next Round' a deep yet punching grooved winner, infectiously cool, with subtle layers, guided by a chunky bass stab, that develops in the breakdown, creating tension before powering back in to action. Legit Trip steps up on remix duties, the talented Russian adds a swagger, and takes us deeper, with a rolling bassline and hypnotic dubbed out vibe. The next original from Dilby & Pornbugs is 'Beyond That'. Bubbling and tasty, this deep viber, with an air of sophistication, is a real hypnotic workout for late nights and setting the mood. Prague's JHNS and Jack's House Recordings artist completes the release, with his deep vibed and trippy workout for those freaky dance floor moments.

Soul of Zoo brings some classy house sounds to Wannabe A Frog Records with fresh remixes from Emorine, Urmet K and Tuba Twooz.

Lea is a majestic track with silky synth sounds and nice organic drums. They are peppered with string sounds and steamy sax motifs that really cast an exotic spell and take you to somewhere warm. Lea (Emorine Remix) is then deep down and dirty with fizzing synths and a low sling bassline to get the floor moving.

Lea (Urmet K Remix) is a more heady and seductive deep and late night roller with shimmering chord work and Lea (Tuba Twooz Remix) is last of all and is filled with freaky vocal work and tripped out but languid house sounds and woozy pads.

This is a rich, innovative EP from all.

As we turn over into 2016, AEON head honcho Alex Niggemann takes the reins for AEON’s second release in the New Year... and what an EP it is. As a DJ, producer and label boss, Alex’s production focuses on the more soulful and wistful side of Techno. With two solid original tracks and a very strong remix from Mathew and Nathan Jonson’s familiar project Midnight Operator, this release is another in the line of high quality techno AEON has become synonymous of.
Starting off with ‘Angular’, the A-side, a rising feeling of suspense progressively builds into a melodic trance. Layers seamlessly blend together, lead by an array of arpeggio-ed synthesisers. All of this is beautifully interlinked with stripped back, subtle drum patterns..
‘Convection’ brings a slightly more percussive based overlay of sound design. Layers of hats and drone like sounds build slowly until an uplifting breakdown, familiar in Alex’s productions, cuts through the track.On remix duties, Mathew and Nathan Jonson alias Midnight Operator brings a fresh approach to ‘Angular’. A psychedelic introduction builds up to a climax, before dropping right down into a very unique stripped back break beat.
Angular EP is another release of quality techno from AEON, a label that is hitting all the right notes with its output, and is fast becoming a fixture in many international DJs’ bags.
