Title track “Varuna” is a mindful creation of deep winding synth work which gets the track moving, highlighted with crispy percussive notes. The building modulations make this track kind of ethereal and melodic, in comparison to the fiery B-side.

In December 2009, Gem Records was born when it released GEM001 ‘Egbert – Dezelfde Weg’. Nine years later, Egbert graces the label with its 60th release.

Following releases from Michael Mayer, Blackrachas and Patrice Bäumel, we introduce two familiar faces who join forces for the first time. @floriankruse (Suara, Stil Vor Talent, Noir) and @julianwassermann (Stil Vor Talent, Senso Sound) reside in opposite sides of Germany but have managed to come together and sound as if they'd shared a studio for years.

“Gotland” perfectly demonstrates peak time restraint and release with an indispensable long lead, acid tinged, techno behemoth.
