But who said weird is a bad thing? The whacky synths and squiggly rhythms he injects into this are the kind we love, so when the epic string work and rattling tribal drums seeped in on our first listen, we instantly stamped it with that A* grade.

I've grown up listening to Moby. I've grown up listening albums like 'Play' and '18'. I've grown up listening 'Go', 'Why Does My Heart Feel So Bad',  'Porcelain' and 'Natural Blues'. They are all an important part of my life, but if there's one cut that really has touched my heart, has to be 'Natural Blues'. Can't explain why. Is not Moby's most perfect composition but it doesn't exist any other track that makes me feel like this. A mix of sadness and hope. And here I am, 31 years old (almost the same age as Moby when he wrote 'Natural Blues') and 20 years after its release, remixing my favorite tune. Trying not to destroy a piece of work I love and has meant so much to me. Has been one of the most beatiful challenges of my entire carreer. What else can I ask for when I'm remixing my favourite track? Nothing more. I just tried to give it my own touch. A tribute. Take it from my heart and bring it to the dancefloor. And I have the feeling that I've done it. I'm really lucky.

Moby - Natural Blues (Coyu Remix)

Berlin based DJ and producer Monika Kruse joins forces with fellow techno innovators Pig&Dan to the deliver the ‘Get Me On’ EP, featuring the resounding and edgy title track.

Both veterans in the industry, Kruse and Pig&Dan have previously collaborated on quality material in the past, releasing the ‘Oblivion’ EP last year which included the standout gem ‘Satisfaction’. That tune landed on Mixmag’s top techno tracks of 2016, and the trio plan to make a bold statement with their latest collaboration.

‘Get Me On’ delivers the driving techno essence that’s ruling over dancefloors as of late, with booming bass, fluttering, melodic synth tones and chopped vocals. Kruse shared how the collaboration was a pleasure once again: “I’m always happy to spend time with my brothers in the studio because we have so much fun and it just flows. For me this is one of my most emotional production works over the past few years. Combining soul vocals with melodic techno is a pure expression of who I am as an artist.”

With a busy summer on the horizon, Kruse also announced she plans to showcase her first ever Monika Kruse & Friends party during Off Week in Barcelona on June 15.

After the positive reactions on "Diablo", Oliver and I naturally decided to dive into a follow-up (with a rather appropriate title)! Not sure why we chose Spanish names but we seemed to be onto a good thing so we decided to keep nurturing those creative instincts. We had quite a few ideas going back and forth with this one, hence the two-part approach to the final version. Conceptually and with the working title, we wanted to take a lighter approach to this one, creating something less sinister than "Diablo" and I think that we succeeded nicely, helping to eventually take things into our "Elements" series. I should also mention how excited we were to have a brilliant Gaiser mix for this! - Dubfire
