Gregor Tresher turns to the darker, more hypnotic realm of his techno collection for the 212th edition of our mix series. 

A stalwart in the scene since the early 90s, Gregor Tresher has taken his ever-evolving sound around the world, landing on esteemed labels such as Drumcode, Cocoon and Ovum in the process. 

He continues to push his own boundaries within music, evidenced by this stellar mix. Deviating from his harder techno sound, Thresher takes us on an engrossing journey through his musical taste, resulting in a sublime trip down the rabbit hole.

For this edition we’re joined by Berlin based, Spanish DJ + Producer, Alienata, a veteran selector with nearly 20 years under her belt. Elena established herself in her native Spain and moved to Berlin in 2011, she has played sets at pretty much every credible and respected club or party on the circuit (including fabric, Berghain and Dave Clarke's ADE bashes at Milkweg).
She's also a regular at Machine parties, doing back to back sets with Tasha and Bloody Mary plus many solo sets, including a killer at last month's E1 party, alongside Anthony Rother and the Zenker Brothers
Alienata runs the Electro and Machine Funk focused 'Discos Atonicos’, releasing music by the likes of Dez Williams and Cosmic Force and as a producer has released on Cultivated Electronics and Killekill plus contributed to the Tribology compilation a few years back on Machine. As a DJ, Alienata is a tight, energetic mixer and regularly fires through different genres and styles to get the party jumping,

Liverpool-born Entasia’s journey in electronic music has already been pretty wild. After first coming up on his local scene, he moved to Australia, initially for six months, but has remained there for five years. The switch had a big impact on his sound and now he's at the forefront of the high energy hard house scene and has already dropped a big tune this year with 'Mona'. It's a great example of how the man born Adam Rylands mixes up old school influences with new school thinking and he plans to follow it up with at least one every month for the rest of 2025.

In this interview, the ever more prominent DJ and producer talks about running his two labels, Transition and TNT, shares insights into his creative process, gear setup and much more. Alongside that is his Terminal V podcast which is 90 minutes packed with big and bouncy beats, rushes of euphoria and slamming grooves that demand your finest moves.

She has had a nomadic existence so far, which includes being born in Dubai, living in Zambia and across the States, getting deported after her visa expired and then moving to Toronto. Mika Heggemann is busy on many different fronts shaping the contemporary electronic scene from his base in Berlin. Not only is he a DJ, producer and sound engineer with a high energy take on techno, but he is a founder of the Polyamor collective and co-creator of the Berlin Dance Music Event.

His fresh sounds blend a healthy understanding of what has gone before with a new school edge and plenty of underground grit, all of which is unified by bold basslines, euphoric builds and hooky vocals. He has taken it all over the world, and already this year he's dropped bangers like 'Heartbeat Destiny' and 'Club Romance'. Here he tells us about his journey so far, shares some influences, and explains how Berlin shapes his sound while serving up a signature mix to get you through the week.

SWART grew up in the Belgium scene, which has always been at the forefront of high-energy sounds from rave to techno. Years after first parting as a teenager, he is now established as a tehaon talent in his own right with a sound that is trance-infused and hypnotic. He's dropped plenty of it on the likes of VAGUE and Selected (Berlin), and it is all written on Ableton. He's such a wizard with it, he recently hosted a first-ever masterclass to share all aspects of his creative process.

This summer he'll be busy playing the likes of Pisiboat, Extrema Outdoor, Duro Festival, Fuse, Bootshaus and more, and promises lots of new music is on the way. Before that he's dropped a signature mix and let us in on his early roots into the scene, his views of AI, what gear he favours and plenty more.

Cadzow is part of the new wave of Scottish artists who are setting the hard techno agenda. The Glaswegian works through his tunes at pace, keeping dancers locked with selections that dip into several sub-genres, and often draws from plenty of his own originals and edits to keep things fresh.

He’s already left his mark on us with two standout performances at the iconic Terminal V festival and whether he's working with vocals to anchor a track or laying down bouncy low ends on labels like HEKATE Records, NowNow and Reckless, he always does it with his own fingerprint. From humble beginnings on a DDJ-400 in his bedroom just a couple of years ago to no headlining festival stages and packed clubs, he’s a man on the charge.

We are over the moon to announce our first non-profit project for Utopia 56, a charitable organization that provides help to migrants and refugees.
 
With this project, it is values of solidarity, support and benevolence that we want to bring forward in this current context of social and sanitary crisis.
 
We also wish to convey our conception of the electronic music scene, namely a scene that is socially aware and concretely involved.

The compilation will be released in May and will gather around thirty artists, all up and coming promising talents from the current techno scene, whose only instructions were groove love and optimism.💜

This announcement goes along with the first track produced by RAUMM, a mysterious and exciting new French producer whose singular touch and approach of techno place him as an artist to watch.
