Our next guest on 'Nektar Mixtape Series', is another Melbourne local @Upper90.

Luca Twomey (Upper90) is a Producer and DJ currently based in Naarm / Melbourne. Luca’s music is high energy and heavily inspired by many DJ’s from the 90’s techno and trance scene. Luca’s ‘euphoric approach to his producing in the studio, is transformed into his live sets around the city. His Debut single which dropped earlier this year ‘Reality’ was the first introduction of ‘Upper90’, and has taken off ever since. With many more tracks currently in the works, a big 2023 for Upper90 is on the horizon.

In this mix Luca has given an hour of hard slapping techno, with plenty of unreleased tunes from the man himself. This one will be a belter for your Friday night pre's. Give it a listen.

Arta Fact is a DJ / Producer born and raised in the Highlands of Scotland.

Built on a foundation of euphoric feel-good house and rave infused techno, Arta Fact continues to evolve his sound, more recently delving into the hard-groove / funky side of techno - with his ‘Untitled Grooves’ EP gaining attention from some of the scenes biggest names in DJ Heartstring and Franck.

Radio appearances on KETTAMA’s Rinse FM show and Glasgow-based Clyde Built Radio towards the end of 2022 further solidified the sound in which Arta Fact strives to bring to the audience. His wide plethora of music has seen him support acts in his home nation such as X CLUB. Shampain, LF System and t e s t p r e s s.

This year sees Arta Fact lined up at some of Glasgow’s best underground venues: La Cheetah Club, Berkeley Suite and SYMBØL as well as releases scheduled later in the year on Twice Infinity’s sub-label Groovecore United and an EP on Dublin-based label Disintegrated.

Lola Cerise, fast techno alchemist, likes to play with the codes of modern rave, trance, hard techno to give them her own colourful twist creating a distinctive sonic identity. Her futuristic synths and vibrant melodies go beyond the ordinary, reshaping the dance floor experience. 
Supported by heavyweights like lndira Paganatto, SPFDJ, KRL MX, Cera Khin and more, Lola Cerise is making waves with a unique blend of weird and intense sounds. 
Her first EP "You only say that because you're mad" was released on Aphotica Not too long after she released her second EP "Too tall to be a woman, too short to be a tower" on Concrete Berlin. She also appears on multiple VA like SINDEX, Harmless Recs and Kapitalist Dance Club.

'Justin Jay has had a landmark year by anyone's standard, and it has been filled with firsts: he debuted on Boiler Room (out next year) and played the first edition of our festival in Croatia while also touring across Europe and the United States. His first release came four years ago but he is still only 22 and brings an infectious sense of energy and positivity to everything he does, including his unique blend of house, techno, garage and breaks.

Justin pulls out all the stops for us with this week's mix, which is entirely made up of unreleased originals and remixes that he has made either alone or in collaboration with friends like Dusty Dan, Freeman713, Kara Okay and gusted amongst many more. It's punchy and moves at a swift, captivating pace with plenty of uplifting feels along the way. Liverpool-born Entasia’s journey in electronic music has already been pretty wild. After first coming up on his local scene, he moved to Australia, initially for six months, but has remained there for five years. The switch had a big impact on his sound and now he's at the forefront of the high energy hard house scene and has already dropped a big tune this year with 'Mona'. It's a great example of how the man born Adam Rylands mixes up old school influences with new school thinking and he plans to follow it up with at least one every month for the rest of 2025.

In this interview, the ever more prominent DJ and producer talks about running his two labels, Transition and TNT, shares insights into his creative process, gear setup and much more. Alongside that is his Terminal V podcast which is 90 minutes packed with big and bouncy beats, rushes of euphoria and slamming grooves that demand your finest moves.

She has had a nomadic existence so far, which includes being born in Dubai, living in Zambia and across the States, getting deported after her visa expired and then moving to Toronto. Mika Heggemann is busy on many different fronts shaping the contemporary electronic scene from his base in Berlin. Not only is he a DJ, producer and sound engineer with a high energy take on techno, but he is a founder of the Polyamor collective and co-creator of the Berlin Dance Music Event.

His fresh sounds blend a healthy understanding of what has gone before with a new school edge and plenty of underground grit, all of which is unified by bold basslines, euphoric builds and hooky vocals. SWART grew up in the Belgium scene, which has always been at the forefront of high-energy sounds from rave to techno. Years after first parting as a teenager, he is now established as a tehaon talent in his own right with a sound that is trance-infused and hypnotic. He's dropped plenty of it on the likes of VAGUE and Selected (Berlin), and it is all written on Ableton. He's such a wizard with it, he recently hosted a first-ever masterclass to share all aspects of his creative process.

This summer he'll be busy playing the likes of Pisiboat, Extrema Outdoor, Duro Festival, Fuse, Bootshaus and more, and promises lots of new music is on the way. Before that he's dropped a signature mix and let us in on his early roots into the scene, his views of AI, what gear he favours and plenty more.
