HEAD MASTERS TWR72’S SEQUEL RELEASE ON FLOAT RECORDS IS CALLED 'DEFORM'.

Their journey to examine the perfect groove continues with these two straight forward tracks. The original Deform infiltrates onto the lower parts of the groove where the spacious tom bass challenges the main percussion bass. As a result, an uncommon groove appears, which gets stimulated by an suddenly appearing unusual sound continuing throughout the track.

The linear version is even more stripped down to the essence of the grooves purpose. The obvious title refers to the broken down and straight forward character, however without losing the focus of the original.

During these days where lo-fi analogue house productions seems to be the it thing, its time to dig out a release by one of the true pioneers of house music. Not an outsider but one of the names thats been around forever and thats known for several timeless house classics. Almost 20 years after its original release date we are happy to share this forgotten and overlooked gem by Roy Davis Jr. - Roy's Chicago Basement Traxx.
Originally released as 4 track ep on Kumba Records, but we thought it was appropriate to shine some light on our three favorites, Chemical Warfare, Jack Da Rhythms and Broken Machines. Three dirty, raw, jacking and most of all intense tracks, that are among the best things that came out of Chicago. Jerking rhythms, hypnotic synths and live arrangements stripped to the bare essential! Endless respect to Roy Davis Jr. for being such a versatile and inspirational producer.

Oh and this one is not changing hands for big money (which we see so often as sales argument). Untill recently it actually always used to be pretty cheap on Discogs ;-)

We are very happy to present our first album on Ilian Tape. At the beginning of 2014 we moved our two seperate bedroom studios into one and soon after started working on the album. All the tracks were made in about 6 months in our new Ilian Tape Space Studio in Munich. The time felt right to focus on this adventure, but without any pressure. Therefore the process became very natural and we felt free to go wherever the vibe led us. Our intention was to create a very personal and honest sound without any limitations or guidelines. It's a reflection of all the years we've been growing up, working, traveling and playing together and it means a lot to us. But enough said music is not supposed to be described with words, so sit back, close your eyes, light one up and turn up the speakers!

Secretsundaze 17th release comes from London based producer Endian. Releasing just 2 EP's in a few years on Non Plus and Electric Minds, Endian has nevertheless managed to to turn the heads of the likes of Steffi who used one of his tracks for her Panorama Bar compilation and Boddika who also licensed a track for a various artists EP. Sounding like a producer far more experienced than the two releases would indicate, it came as no surprise that this is far from the the output of a novice but the seasoned veteran George Levings aka Commix (Metalheadz). 

Endian has been a regular at secretsundaze events over the years and a friendship developed with Giles and James. The project is an outlet for him to release the more technoey and house sound that he is increasingly inspired by.
 
Lead and title track 'Finish Me' is a stone cold killer. Ballsy, raw and over driven in the mix, a tribal breakbeat groove builds before brassy stabs sneak in. The peak of the track sees dramatic pads cut through for a moment of serenity before the drums drop back in. Joy Orbison used 'Finish Me' in his Essential mix late last year and its also been a highlight of secretsundaze's sets over last 6 months. 'Techno To Finish' goes deeper with a layer of fuzzy warmth enveloping the track. Driving but definitely one for the later hours or early on with its hypnotising flow and subtle musical flourishes. Last up 'Sub Tropic' is a heads down, growling, low slung techno track with its deep sub bass. This is definitely a track you can imagine hearing in the bowels of Berghain well into Sunday daytime. 

'Finish Me' is arguably Endian's best work to date and it's another fine addition to the secretsundaze catalogue.

Manchester based Trevino will return to Klockworks with a new record on the 25th of May following his first successful release on the imprint back in 2012.

Trevino, a constant purveyor of smooth, skillfully constructed tracks, continues to teeter on the boundary between house and techno feeding from various influences and aliases he is able to deliver a three track EP to showcase his ability to string together diverse atmospheres and emotions. With deep, resonating basslines, Trevino is able to find a timeless sound letting the body move freely through ethereal synths and delicate strings. Each track illicitly implies that the confines of what we once knew of as genres are now insignificant, Trevino once again has found a comfortable fit into the niche of Klockworks with sounds that capture the essence of music’s progression in this modern day.
